Karen here and Camper Kailey my Madame Alexander Favorite Friends Doll, and we want to share with you our Camp Night Gown we made with out sewing!
To make your own you will need:
- A baby diapershirt newborn size works best but I used a 3-6 months size for mine, with long sleeves
- Aleene’s Fabric fusion Permanent Fabric Tape
- Tulip Fabric Markers
- Scrap cardboard or paper
Step 1- Assemble all your supplies for the craft. Lay your diaper shirt flat as shown in the photos above, use your scissors to cut across the diaper shirt along the bottom, cutting off the part that snaps over a babies diaper.
Step 2- Open the diaper shirt bottom edge you just cut. Unwrap the Aileen’s Fabric Fusion Peel and Stick tape and line the inside of your cut edge all the way around as shown in the photos above.
Step 3- Start by peeling back the double sided tape backing from your taped edge and fold over the edge of your diapers shirt as shown in the photos above creating a “hem”
Step 4- To embellish your doll’s new Night Gown, add bows and buttons that you can attach with more of the Aleene’s Fabric Fusion peel and stick tape.
If you used a diaper shirt like mine that is sized 3-6 months you may need to roll the sleeves like I did for Kailey’s Night Gown.
Step 5- Use your Tulip Fabric Markers to decorate your Night Gown, slide a piece of cardboard or paper inside your night gown so that the fabric marker doesn’t go through on to your Night Gown. Allow the color to set and your Night Gown is ready to wear!
