According to quite a few readers Julie is getting a new VW and there will be a new car wash set and outfits for Julie and Ivy. This photo is featured on the back of the American Girl magazine and was posted on the American Girl Facebook page (thanks for the heads up Lena).
I am assuming this will be part of the holiday release in September. I can’t imagine how much Julie’s VW will cost, but I can honestly say, that is the cutest AG accessory I have seen in a LONG time. I may be putting this whole set on MY Christmas list.

GOOD POINT MADELON. isn’t Julie supposed to be 9 years old? i have to say that I bet it’s metal like her bike, and even though no one wants to pay for it, it’ll be sold out until sept like mckenna’s gym set. I hated paying $225 for mckenna’s bed, but it came with a bunch of stuff.

W-wow. 350$? Seriously? As much as I love ag, I honestly think tje overpriced items meed to stop. Its just to expensive and I feel like its getting even more expensive each year. In my opinion, one little ice cream set with cherrypie isnt worth 60 dead presidents (dollars)

Again, Julie’s WASHING the car, not driving it. Ag’s not marketing to car so that Julie drives. No doubt kids will make her drive, but that’s not the marketing.
Either way, Julie’s almost 12 in the story that takes place last cannonically, and at 12, I was learning to drive around private property, simple things like parking.

Oh dear… $350? *sigh* That’s a lot…this is one of the first things AG has come out with in a lot time that I actually really WANT.
I read somwhere that the doll can’t fit in the driver’s side though? Anyone else heard this confirmed or not? I could SEE how they would make it that way if it has to do with some safety mandate about 9-12 year olds driving, but seriously…I would hope that even AG wouldn’t do something like that…
I can see why some people are upset about the price I am a little shocked too. But it’s Ag so it’s reasonable qualtiy and it’s probably not completely made of plastic and looks like as if a small chid got a hold of it it would not easily break. I do not have any of the of other cars availbe for 18 inch dolls but they do kinds remind of enlarged barbie cars, will I be saving for this car anytime soon no would I be more likely to be saving for 2 dolls 4 outfits and the trundle which probably cost more and take up the same amount of room yes I like the looks of the car and that it is a real car color as opsed to some of the others that are hot pink heaps of plastic

It stinks that Ivy never gets anything and the one thing we love for her we have (the New Year’s Outfit and I waited 6 months for it to get off back order). We don’t like her new outfit and you would think they would give Ivy some good things for once! Julie’s outfit is SUPER cute and my daughter wants to buy it for her Julie. I hope the outfits are sold separately.
^I actually prefer Ivy’s to Julie’s. Julie’s makes her look like a hobo.
I agree about the price being with the quality, but still 350 is steep. Lanie’s camper was basically a doll house and came with little accessories for 50$ less.
You guys, keep in mind AG items are geared towards families who can afford to drop $3,000 per person for a vacation, and buy out the ship within one day of announcement. In other words – NOT your average American family.

I love the car, but the price is outrageous!! I mean 350$ for a car?? How are girls going to afford that? I love Julie’s outfit, and I can’t wait to get it when I go to the AGP! I like Ivy’s outfit, but not enough to get it. I like they finally gave Julie more attention, but they need to pay less attention to the price.

Off that note I got Marie Grace. I love her, I love her, I LOVE HER!!! To save me embarassment at school (today was my last day), my art teacher asked me “So, which girl are you adopting?”
I answered, “Marie Grace.”

The picture with the new doll question…..The brunette and blonde doll’s look like ones that are already out. I don’t like anything about the new one on the right (outfit or doll). I love the cute outfit in the middle. Is the one on the right the only new one?
All the outfits are unrealesed, two of the dolls are 27 and 49, one is unknown.
