This is a sweet and easy craft from one of the Doll Diaries community – Julia.

Hi! I’m going to show you how to make an easy peasy doll icing bag!

Can you guess which one of the icing bags we will be making?

Supplies needed:

  • plain scrap fabric
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun
  • empty gel pen
  • plastic bag
  • clear elastic

Let’s get started!

First, cut a square out of the corner of your plastic bag. Then, scrunch up your fabric, and stick it in the very tip of your plastic bag corner. Now take the clear elastic and twist it around the edges so the fabric can’t come out.

Take your gel pen apart, and you should have a metal tip that looks like a icing tip. Put hot glue in your “icing tip” and stick the corner of your plastic bag with the fabric in it into the hot glue.
Voila! Now you have an icing bag for your dolls. There are different ways that you can make this, and I will list them below:

Option 1- don’t put fabric in the plastic bag, just keep it plain.
Option 2- instead of using a plastic bag, you can use fabric so you can’t see the fabric inside (this is the icing bag at the top in my first picture)
Option 3- change the colour of icing by using different fabric.
Option 4 (added by Char) – use clay instead of fabric for the “icing”

I hope you liked this craft and remember…

Keep calm and eat cupcakes!
