Megan is back with a new hair how-to video! She is a huge fan of The Hunger Games (I am not, but that’s okay – I can still appreciate it) and saw the movie with her older brother while I was in Ireland. She decided to recreate the “Katniss” character using an American Girl doll – Kanani was the best fit from our collection – and then create a video on the Katniss braid so you can try it on your doll’s hair or even your own. I’ve done the “inside-out” braid on dolls before! It’s really really really really cute! And I was so excited when I saw it as Katniss’s hair-do.

I love the hunger games and i’ve seen the movie twice.I’ve done diagonal french “Katniss” braids on my friends’s and doll’s hair before, i never realized a dutch braid was diffrent, thanks Megan!

I love the Hunger Games sooooo much! I made a Foxface doll, Rue doll, Peeta doll, a Prim doll… AND of course a Katniss doll! Katniss is a Kanani doll with some alterations:)

This is soooooooooooooo(o xinfinity) much!!!! I’ve read the first book and am about to start the second and I’ve seen the movie three times!!!!! I really wish I had Kanani right now so I could do this! The outfit looks almost EXACTLY like hers, except the AG “logo” of course!

I did my sisters hair like this for the midnight premiere of The Hunger Games and last week I figured out how to do it on me (since no one else I know can do it that I know). Wednesday I learned how to do the waterfall braid on Samantha! Have not tried the Katniss braid on my doll yet put will definitely try!

I did this on my hair but a regular french braid not a dutch braid. I knew there was something different about it! It’s really good for layered hair because it usually gets all the hair where a regular braid doesnt really do good for layered hair. I also did my hair like Glimmer with the fishtail braid!

I know this is kinda off topic. But not really since we are talking about recreating dolls and stuff. I’m making a doll of my very own. She is goin to be between the ages of 8 and 13. Where can I make my own dolls? Or a doll that does not come with a story that I can rename. And does anyone know where to get 80s clothes for dolls I love the 80s. Ps Not make a doll for real. I mean like my American girl where you can create a doll.

Thanks you Char and no I have not. How old do the dolls look? Anymore places where you make dolls between the ages of 8 and 13. Wait and Char my twinn are 23 inches right? Depending on how old she looks she might be the 13 year old. Because I will either make a chracter for a little sister or big sister for my dolls or get a BFC ink.
