Happy New Year!! It looks like 2011 is going to be another good year for dolls.
First, I’d like to thank the Doll Diaries readers for making this THE place to go to talk about American Girl dolls, Barbie, My Twinn, Carpatina, and dolls of all kinds. You are all wonderful young ladies and I look forward to reading the conversations on a daily basis!
Second, I’d like to thank the Doll Diaries sponsors:
- MyWallaby – the coolest doll carrying purse going
- My Pink Planet – more than just 18″ doll clothes and accessories
- Maplelea Dolls – 18″ dolls fashioned after Canadian girls
- My Dolls Life – 18″ doll clothes, accessories, and activities for girls
- Carpatina – 18″ slim body dolls and clothes for both the 18″ slim body and American Girl style doll
2011 looks to be a very exciting year in the doll world – from the introduction of the new American Girl Doll of the Year for 2011, Kanani to the introduction of the commemorative mini doll series for American Girl’s 25th birthday to Mattel celebrating Ken’s 50th birthday, the Barbie silkstone line turning 10, Madame Alexander teaming up with top fashion designers, to countless more exciting doll news that we will be sure to share as the year goes on.
I have lots of photos to share from a visit to a special Barbie collector’s house this week. There are more great reviews, giveaways, crafts and insight on dolls for girls of all ages coming up this year. And as always, you are encouraged to share your doll photos, doll crafts, AGP trip reports, product scoop and anything doll related with our readers too! Just send me an email at email@example.com. I’d love to hear from you.
And, while I have your attention, let me review the guidelines for leaving comments on Doll Diaries. If you are under 13 you need your parent’s permission to leave a comment. Additionally, do NOT post your age, where you live or any other personal information. You don’t need to use your real first name – actually I encourage you to create your own special name instead. Keep the language positive and same goes for what you have to say to others. I am comfortable with the delete key and will delete any comments I feel are not appropriate. If we all follow these guidelines, Doll Diaries will continue to stay a fabulous place for girls of all ages to share their love for dolls.
Happy New Year again and may it be amazing!!!
