This is from year’s past, but it is still one of my favorite posts! Happy Earth Day!
In celebration of Earth Day we are going to have earth friendly crafts/activities all week. We started yesterday with Laura’s Earth Day Gifts & Printable and today Julie is going to show you a few ways to decorate doll sized flower pots.
I found the little flower pots at the craft store in the floral department. They were less than one dollar each.
These little flower pots are so much fun to decorate. A little ribbon, a button and some hot glue and the first flower pot is transformed in under 30 seconds!
I decided to test out the Collage Pauge from I Love to Create on the next flower pot. I cut out a few designs from a piece of scrapbook paper.
Then I painted Collage Pauge all over the flower pot, added my scrapbook paper design, painted over the paper with more Collage Pauge and let it dry. It goes on white but it will dry clear.
Megan decided I was having too much fun and she decided to bling one out. She covered the flower pot in Collage Pauge and the covered it with Tulip green glitter. She could have used regular glue, too, but the Collage Pauge was already out.
For the flower pot in the middle I painted it light blue with acrylic paints then used a dauber to add polkadots in black and silver. You can see how the flower pot with the scrapbook paper has dried clear.
Another look at the Collage Pauge version and the green glitter one. I loved the silver paint and painted the last flower pot silver then hot glued pink buttons from Buttons Galore and More all over the rim.
Now Julie is ready to plant!

Happy Earth Day!! Today is also American Girl character Molly’s birthday. Feel free to send in photos for her virtual birthday party this afternoon.
