Say, “hello” to my American Girl doll -She has long red-hair, bangs and blue eyes…just like me!
Sarah-Katherine is named for my great-grandmother and grandmother, both of whom started my mother and I in the world of doll collecting.
My grandmother ran a doll-hospital out of her home during the Great Depression and into the 1940′s as a means of supporting her family. My great-grandmother could sew beautifully and made dolls and doll clothes for my mother.
Sarah-Katherine’s dress is from Carpatina.com. Her velvet cloak is from Miss Linda’s on ebay. The harp is a Christmas ornament (also from ebay …and her fairy-dollie was made by me! The lion’s name, in this picture is Aslan. (I also play the harp and a few more musical instruments, love fairies, am a fan of The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings – do you think it shows? I love this picture! Sarah-Katherine is so pretty.
I love the Chronicles of Narnia too! I don’t like the Lord of the Rings though. Too many disgusting characters.
Thank you very much, Priya : ) I really appreciate such a nice compliment!
Mary, I would say I prefer Chronicles of Narnia 1st. There are excellent things in Lord of the Rings…I ignore those “disgusting characters”, somewhat…LOL! I will say that you have to have the “bad guys” in order to distinguish the good ones
Gollum/Smeagol is an interesting combination of both…to a point.
In LOTR, I LOVE Lothlorien, the Elves and the Ents-(talking tree-herders
Thank you, both, very much, I am grateful that you took the time to comment.
Cool! All of my family is big into fantsay movies especially Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. She looks like she is an elven girl from LOTR.
i really like this costume!!! i love the narnia books, the hobbit, lord of the rings and harry potter.
Thank you very much, Erin and Paige : )
So sorry to be slow to respond…suppose to have surgery soon…OUCH!
When I see all the pics, I can see I’m not alone in enjoying these stories…lots of princesses and fairies, each one unique!
Thank you, Erin…I LOVE the idea that you think she looks elvish…all I need to add is one of the leaf brooches : )
Thank you again!
