Whether you are working on a holiday photo of all your dolls or just doing group shots through out the year, here are some tips from The Spicy’s.
With Christmas just around the corner, it seems as if everyone is rushing to take family portraits. We like to take portraits of our dolls ALL year long, but this time of year it’s CRUCIAL that every photo be Christmas-card worthy! Here are some tips to help you get the perfect photos for your holiday greeting.
Head outside! With large groups, it’s even hard to get better indoor photos. Going outside ensures there will be plenty of light and space for your dolls to look their best. If you live in a snowy climate, it might be fun to feature your dolls frolicking in the snow!
Get a close up or two. Whether you are trying to be artistic or just get a great photo, close ups help showcase your dolls beauty. It’s okay to not photograph the all of the dolls head, just make sure her face is in full focus.
Play with angles! Whoever said that you only can shoot from in front of your doll? Try shooting from up high or lower than your dolls. Make sure to ALWAYS find an angle that flatters your doll (there are MANY)!
Have fun capturing the right shot for your holiday card. Remember the shot does not have to be perfect, it just needs to bring a smile to a loved ones face. Merry Christmas from The Spicys!
