Our friends from My Doll Boutique in the UK posted a photo on their Facebook page this morning of one of their dolls wearing jeans in support of a charity day. Jeans for Genes is a charity organization helping children who have been affected by genetic disorders and today is their big awareness/fundraising day in schools, businesses and shops across England. Our McKenna doll took that as an invitation to show off her favorite jeans and get some time in front of the camera.
McKenna showing off her American Girl Place jeans, American Girl Seattle tee and the AG store exclusive running shoes too.
One of our cats just had to get in on the action. They are such attention hogs. I was actually bummed because I missed the funniest picture ever by a split second. The cat was behind McKenna kind of looking over her shoulder and it looked so funny. Next time!
I was playing with special effects on the camera again and I thought this one was pretty neat. It made everything black and white except yellows. You can see the leaves in our woods are beginning to change colors and the yellow streak across the lawn was the sun breaking through the trees this morning. Now to figure out how to just grab the reds.
McKenna’s hairstyle from another angle. All I did was french braid the front section and angled it to the back. I did both sides and connected them in the back with a ponytail. McKenna’s hair is so easy to work with and looks nice in so many different styles.

Sixthie! That’s such a cute hairstyle! Jeans for Genes sounds like an amazing charity!
Whoops, seventhie!
If you just want the red tee, put the photo in photoshop, copy two layers, make the top layer Black and white, and erase the tee in the black and white layer
COOL!
Oh, I know how to do it in Photoshop, but our camera can actually do it, too, which is that much faster. I am trying to learn all the features it has so I can take even better photos.
tenthie!
Mckenna is soooo pretty!
She would be like top of the list for me…if I could afford an ag doll
her hair is super pretty Char-you did a great job with it. Yay! Another giveaway! Jeans for Genes sounds cool too
Cute! I love McK’s hair!
These are pretty cute. We did a song at our church for the kids.It wa s for mother’s day. It was called something like our genes! The music teacher had us all wear jeans. Also that cat looks nearly exact like mt cat named pixie is he a Torby?
Melody – I have no idea what that cat is. Technically he is not our cat – he is the neighbor’s cat, but I don’t think he has been “home” in a year. He has essentially adopted us as his family.
Love the hair!
Wow. That cat looks just like ours.
Wow cute jeans:)
I have those jeans and that top, except it is not from Seattle! Cute shoes and awesome hair!
I’ve got to try that with McKenna’s hair!
How cute! McKenna looks so good in that outfit! You should make this a regular feature Char!!:)
