After I finished the photo shoot for this morning’s doll play activity, I just couldn’t help but take a few more photos of McKenna and Ruthie. I absolutely LOVE the combination of blue and silver – well, actually silver and anything, and these two just look adorable.

I wanted to show you how I did McKenna’s hair. The headband from the Frosty Party outfit does not quite fit McKenna’s head correctly so I put the headband about a 1/4 of the way back on her head, then took the sections of hair that were in front of the headband and pulled them back into a low half ponytail. Now the headband stays put and her hair looks very pretty.

While I was cropping the photo in picmonkey.com, I decided to play around with some of their new wintery effects. This one is called Chill.

Another view of McKenna’s hairstyle while she poses with Ruthie. I added the Frost effect in picmonkey.com to this photo.

And I just can’t pick a favorite, but I do love this one. First I used the black and white effect on my camera when I took the photo, then I added the Frost effect in picmonkey.com. Next I added one of their wintery frames to the photo and then I cropped out the excess white on the bottom of the photo.

Using the free picmonkey.com and all of its special effects, you make make the most basic of photos into a piece of artwork.
