The 4 Dolls 1 Outfit series is quickly becoming one of my favorite photo shoots each week. It lets me feature a wider variety of our dolls, it’s fun to see an outfit or a doll take on a new personality just by switching things up a bit, and it gives you a better idea as to what outfits are the best value for your individual collection.
This week we are taking a look at the Fun Loving Girl outfit from Dreamworld Collections. It is a ribbed tunic sweater with a cowl neck, ribbed leggings, fun fringed boots and a felt cross-body bag.
Our American Girl Kailey was the first doll to get to try out this outfit. The material in the leggings and the sweater is very stretchy and you will not have any trouble getting this out fit on any one of your 18″ dolls. The boots zip on the inside and go on very easily over Kailey’s foot. I love the colors in this outfit – the pinks go so nicely with the shades of brown and gold – it kind of reminds me of Neopolitan ice cream.
Springfield Dolls Emma was next. Emma is slimmer than Kailey and the Springfield Dolls have a bigger foot. The boots fit Emma nicely and I didn’t notice any challenge getting them on her. I thought the sleeves were a little long on Emma so I just cuffed them once. The felt bag has enough stretch to get over your doll’s head so she can wear it over the shoulder or as a cross-body bag.
Carpatina’s Rowena is a slim body 18″ doll and while this outfit is a little big on her, it doesn’t seem to matter. The boots are definitely a little big, but they won’t fall off.
And I just needed to share a little more of this cute face with you! The Carpatina faces are definitely in my top 5 doll faces ever. So sweet!
American Girl Nellie is a little more generously stuffed than some of our other dolls and I had no issues getting this outfit on her. I think the colors look beautiful on her and allow her to make the transformation to a girl of today with ease!
Nellie is one of those American Girl Historical dolls (like Kit and Emily) that I think can look good in just about any time period’s clothing.
Bwahahaha! My old, old cat, Charlie (I think he is 17) is always rubbing his head up against things. Of course, as soon as I set the American Doll Room barn on the kitchen floor and started taking photos of Kailey petting The Queen’s Treasures horse, Charlie *had* to come check it out, almost knocking everything over in the process!
You can buy the Fun Loving Girl Outfit from Dreamworld Collections or check back later today as we will be doing a giveaway for this outfit.
