Get ready to ooooh and aaaah with this beautiful and simple chandelier you can make for your doll’s space thanks to Anna at Doll-It-Up.com.
This year to complete our Christmas doll scene I added a sparkly chandelier.
It is festive and fun.
It adds a fancy touch, hanging over our party food table.
It is simple to make.
I have made a pattern so you can make one too!
For this project you will need:
- printable chandelier pattern (Download the printable chandelier pattern)
- 2 pieces of thin cardboard (think cereal boxes!)
- stapler and staples
- plastic jewels
Step 1 – Print off the chandelier pattern. Layer it with 2 pieces of thin cardboard.
Step 2 -Staple through all the layers along the center line. Space the staples apart to fit 4 staples along the line.
Step 3 – Cut through all the layers along the outline of the chandelier. Rip off the pattern paper so only the 2 pieces of card board remain.
Step 4 – Bend each piece of card board in half along the staple line.
Now it will be more dimensional. If you were to look at it from the top of the chandelier, the cardboard would form an X.
Step 5 – Paint it your choice of colors. I started with light pink but changed my mind and added silver glitter that covered up the pink color.
Step 6 – To add glitter, first coat it in Mod Podge or glue on one side. Sprinkle it with glitter, tap off the excess, and repeat on all the sides. You could stop here because the glitter looks great and makes a nice sparkly chandelier.
I had in mind to have jewels hanging, and dangling.
Step 7 – The jewels hang from pieces of floss. Gluing the jewels back to back on the floss makes it so they can dangle from your chandelier. Trim off the excess floss on the bottom.
Step 8 – Glue the floss to the chandelier and cover the end with a sequin. Embellish with more sequins for more sparkle.
Step 9 – Hang the chandelier with floss and glue a sequin on top.
Enjoy a simple chandelier for you and your dolls!
