For our readers in the United States, Happy Labor Day! For everyone else, Happy Monday! In the US, today is considered the unofficial last day of summer and is often marked with cookouts with family and friends. Gather your dolls today and have an end of summer cookout/picnic!
There are a few ways to make a barbecue grill for your dolls. You can follow Karen’s instructions from her June 2011 post – How to Make Doll Sized BBQ – which is made primarily from felt.
OR follow My Froggy Stuff’s instructions for making a grill for your dolls using popsicle sticks, a toilet paper roll, straws and fun foam. You can watch the video here on YouTube.
And then get your dolls together around the picnic table, on the picnic blanket or around any table and celebrate friends and fun!
Our friend Madison’s dolls know how to celebrate with friends. They look like they have quite the conversation going on, too!
Have a great afternoon! And good luck to all who are going back to school tomorrow!

Well it depends. They have already retired Felicity and Elizabeth.
oh and by the way I got an ag catalog on Saturday (which was really cool since we don’t normally get them) and I noticed that Caroline’s parlor set was $300-cheaper than Julie’s car. Since in my opinion Caroline’s parlor set is WAY better quality/worth more than Julie’s car, it almost seems like ag is confused on what to charge!
I know that if I were trying to decide what to get, I would definitely choose the parlor set. Just a thought…
Molly, did it have the new MYAG stuff?
which MYAG stuff are you referring to Delaney?
The new stuff from the video on the Sunday Showcase.
Delaney~yes, all that stuff was in there.
OK thanks! I really don’t wanna look at it……….. It makes me sick- the prices..
I can’t wait until tomorrow! New stuff is so fun to look at! : )
Even though I can’t stand the prices, I’m looking forward to getting my catalog, just for something fun to look at. But remember Delaney, AG isn’t the only game in town. There are alternatives, other brands, crafts you can do. If it was all about AG, I’d be pretty annoyed too, but I’m glad as a doll mom I have some choices. Think about it.
Sharry A., yes. I just yesterday spent half of my money buying things from the My Life As brand. I love buying from other companies, but I must admit, It’s really fun opened up something that’s actually marked AG.
They are not retiring Rebecca. They are probably just putting her hard-cover books on sale because they won’t have them anymore (the books). Or they are probably just doing a weekly or daily sale, but that doesn’t mean that they are retiring anything.
I emailed AG and they said that wigs wont work with the bald dolls!
nvm lena told me its not true!
Delaney, what is the My Life As Brand? Can you post me their website so I can check their stuff out? I only know Springfield, Our Generation, Journey Girls, Madame Alexandra, etc. Thanks, Delaney!
The My Life As brand can be found at Wal-Mart. I do not think there is a specific website for them.
Alicen, yeah Char’s right. But they are owned by Madame Alexander.
Similar to the Playwonder and Friends Boutique lines.
Char did a post on them here:
