Tonner Toys, the same group that brought us Little Miss Matched dolls and City Girls, introduced a new doll to their play line/junior collector line this year named Maudlynne Macabre. Maudlynne is a little quirky – think Goth meets Victorian or the Addam’s Family meets Coraline – but she is also very easy for many girls to relate to.

Maudlynne comes dressed in her Victorian Goth Chic dress, navy blue tights, black Mary Janes, fingerless gloves and a headband.
According to Maudlynne’s story, she is 10 years old and is very sensitive, shy and can see spirits. She lives in a Victorian mansion in Upstate New York. Maudlynne was homeschooled for most of her life but her parents noticed her peculiarities and now she is transitioning to public school to be with a larger variety of kids. Maudlynne’s best friends are Victoria, the ghost and Edgar Allen, the talking raven (bird).
Maudlynne’s cousin – Little Miss Matched Rocker Girl (Hadley) is going to help get her ready for her new school. While Maudlynne’s dress is pretty and all, Hadley doesn’t think she’ll make too many friends if she shows up to school the first day wearing it.
Maudlynne and the Little Miss Matched dolls have the exact same body – the only difference is their head size/face mold. They are extremely poseable – as they can move 10 different joints in their bodies – which makes them so much fun to play with, take on adventures and well, POSE.
Here is the Little Miss Matched outfit that Hadley picked out for Maudlynne’s first day of school. It totally changes her personality!! While Maudlynne is still a little quirky, the bright colors in the Little Miss Matched clothes really bring out the sparkle in her eyes.
“I LOVE it!!” says Hadley. “It really suits you.”
ACTIVITY SHEET:
Maudlynne’s activity sheet includes a trading card, 2 doll sized posters and a maze.
Download Maudlynne’s activity sheet as a PDF file.
Maudlynne’s first day at her new school was a success, but she is ready to kick back and relax now! I overheard Maudlynne telling Hadley that she wanted to check out the Ellowyne closet and try on some of their clothes. She thinks there might be some Steampunk outfits she could wear – even though Hadley says they won’t be appropriate for school.
Remember Maudlynne is very sensitive and is a little stressed out about starting a new school. Be sure to leave encouraging words for her!

Firstie
So gonna hav to get 1
Thirde!
Love her eyes!
She’d be perfect for my best friend Morgan! She’s a fan of Emily the Strange, so they would have a lot in common. Might suggest one to her (and perhaps myself). There is a song called “The story of the raven and the mushroom man”, by Lisa Mitchell. Maudlynne reminds me if that song!
Maudlynne’s pretty.
she is now added to my list of dolls that I really want!! sixthie
soo cute!!
hey char two questions,
1: can you buy clothes for little miss matched separate from the dolls??
2: can I send you my tutorial of how to make a doll stethoscope??
Bailey – yes, there were a few fashion packs. Look for them on clearance at Toys R Us, FAO, LittleMissMatched.com, Tonnerdoll.com and ebay. And yes, you can send in the tutorial for the stethoscope.
I like the old outfit, minus the gloves, but she looks really cute in the new one too! What became of the ghost Victoria that they were also going to release?
great I’ll get started on it right about now!!
N – I am going to see the Tonner group when I go to Toy Fair and I will ask about Victoria. I saw the prototype of her last year.
make sure to take a LOT of pictures so it will be like we are there!
Bailey – trust me – I will! I may even do some video this year, too.
i wish they havent archived little miss matched
My sister didnt even get one…
I love her meet outfit! And those rain boots look adorable on her!

if I get her I’ll rename her violet because of her eyes!
Well, Maudlynne, school might be a bit of an adjustment for you, but with the support of your friend, Hadley and the confidence of wearing that snazzy new outfit, you are off to a good start. I suspect that you will really like POEtry.
Maudlynne is really cute and quirky! I love her outfit and the fact that she and I share a favorite POE-et. ; )
Hopefully, with some good friends like Hadley and the other LMM girls, she’ll be able to adjust well to school. : )

@Delaney I love the Addams family too! Maudelynne is cute but her pointy chin and oversize eyes are a little scary.
I love her! I may ask for her!
Omigosh! kananirulz, you were right! They did retire LMM! ;( Good thing I got Paisley (uptown) for my birthday!
Why did the discontinue Little Mismatched? I thought it was a good seller.
I think it had to do with the licensing agreement with the Little Miss Matched company.
