Back in October we did a review on Cady, an 18″ soft bodied doll from the new company PenPalGirls. One of the things I have loved about this company since day one is the journey the company’s owner has taken in the development of their face mold. Let’s face it, when it comes to 18″ play dolls, the bodies are basically the same – it is the face (and the hair) that makes each one unique and makes a doll appealing. The PenPalGirls focus is on heritage and cultural diversity – and fun!

Cady is wearing the Gold Trim outfit from PenPalGirls. It is one of their most popular outifts. It is a black top with gold trim, ruffled shorts, lace tights and gold boots – definitely more European in style! The PenPalGirls hips are quite a bit narrower than AG – these shorts fit Ivy, but they were a little snug. Cady can wear the 18″ slim body dolls’s shorts and pants just fine and the AG outfits work on her too.
Time to mix it up a bit! Cady is wearing the American Girl Paisley Print dress (one of my all time favorites!) with the boots from the set along with Nicki’s cowboy hat – while standing on a Wilde Imagination box. I think the blue looks really nice with Cady’s coloring.
Cady is a rather quiet member of our doll family, but she is kind to everyone and can often be found reading the latest travel magazines and writing letters to her friends all over the world.
