Samantha is one of the “original three” dolls created by Pleasant T. Rowland in the American Girl Collection. For many, Samantha is synonymous with American Girl and she was also the first American Girl historical character to be “archived.” Samantha’s stories are from 1904. She was raised by her wealthy Grandmother and spent much of her time in frilly dresses going to tea parties. Her best friend was Nellie – an orphan who worked as a servant in the house next to where Samantha lived.

Samantha loves tea time – especially all the yummy cakes and treats she shares with her friends. Here she is in her meet outfit – probably one of the most recognizable American Girl outfits ever.
Samantha’s favorite tea treats come from The Queen’s Treasures – where even though Samantha’s collection has been retired, you can find heirloom quality furniture and accessories that work well with her world.
