Long before we added Molly to our collection, her best friend Emily joined our doll family. As a matter of fact, Megan got Emily for Christmas in 2006! Since then, Emily has become one of the most photographed and well loved dolls in our collection. Not only is she beautiful, but Emily goes from historical character to modern day girl with ease. And on the topic of ease, her hair is the perfect length for most American Girl fans and it is straight making her one of the best dolls from the upkeep standpoint.

Emily Bennett is a English girl who comes to stay with Molly McIntire’s family during World War II – in the 1940s. I had fun with photo filters to make this photo look like it might have been taken of Emily in the 1940s and recently discovered by her Granddaughter. Molly’s movie is my favorite from the historical collection and I highly recommend it if you haven’t already seen it.
Emily’s meet outfit includes this adorable red red and white polkadot headband with flowers. It is a very nice touch although Emily looks just as cute with it as she does without.
Shy and sweet Emily is very content with enjoying the morning outside just listening to the birds and watching the clouds move in the sky.
One of Emily’s accessories is a scrapbook with photos of her family in England, the Royal Princesses and news clippings. I used a frame effect in picmonkey to make it look like this photo could be easily added to her scrapbook.
Have you seen Molly’s movie or read Emily’s books yet? What do you think of Emily?
