I have discovered a few new sites this week and I also decided to stick with the DIY theme for my picks of the week today. I don’t know about you, but creating things – for the dolls or other things – is relaxing and isn’t that what weekends are all about? Let get inspired!
Diana Rambles is a new site I follow. Not all of her posts are doll related, but the ones that are definitely make you want to create something. She is also the hostess of a very big handmade doll clothes giveaway that you will have the chance to enter in May. I just love the orange and white in this Muu Muu dress Diana made from an Eden Ava Couture pattern. Bring on the beach!
So, I might have been swayed a bit to feature this next pick. Why? Well, that cute little fairy door and wand set were made by my very own Natalie. Laura just loves Natalie’s Sculpey creations and had asked her to do a guest post. She did a great job of showing all the steps, too. I really think you can make anything out of Sculpey!
I found the perfect flowers to go in our colorful little flower pots we made this week. Liz at American Girl Fan made the flowers from recycling egg cartons. PERFECT – flowers for our flower pots and recycled to go with the theme for this week!
Hungry? MyFroggyStuff is always coming up with the most realistic crafts and creations for the dolls. I just love her Frogs Classic potato chips printable. We may need to stock the Camp Doll Diaries cafeteria with some of those!
Another new site I have discovered as part of this Mega Giveaway group, is Amy’s Sews and Bows. Isn’t her version of Eden Ava’s pet bed pattern just so cute? I love the added touch of the ruffle on the outside and the color combination!
I have a long, long list of crafts and projects I would like to tackle this weekend. How about you? If you are inspired by any of these posts or if you make something fun, take a photo and send it in for the Sunday Showcase. You know the drill – resize it to 540 if you can and email it to me at email@example.com.
Have a creative weekend!!
