Wow! Is January really over already? It seems like yesterday we were welcoming Lea, the new American Girl GOTY! There is a lot going on in the doll world right now and part of that is due to the fact that its Toy Fair season – Toy Fair is a HUGE trade show for the toy industry where the manufacturers (people who create/make the toys) and the buyers (people who decide what will be available for sale in stores like Toys R Us, Barnes & Noble, and your local independent toy store) get a chance to meet. The toy companies show off what is new for the year and the buyers decide how they want to stock their stores.

So, now that we have taken that little detour, Toy Fair London took place this past week and if you pop over to Swish & Swirl you can see just how BIG Toy Fair is – Swish & Swirl Toy Fair London and you can see even more photos of the THREE new A Girl For All Time dolls that are coming this year. I can’t wait for Toy Fair New York in two weeks!!

I love Sharry’s look back at 1970’s life through the eyes of our favorite dolls. The kids at Julie Newman’s 70s Time Capsule are in Art Class this week – how many of those classic crafts do you recognize?

Of course, by now, you have heard the news that Barbie is releasing a more diverse line of dolls – it was one of this week’s big stories and everyone seems to have an opinion about it.

PenPalGirls is having a Chinese New Year sale and all of their non-preorder items are $8.00! I don’t know how long these will last, but $8.00 is a great price!

And here is a little sneak peek of one of the reviews I am working on. Our friends at The Queen’s Treasures graciously sent me their Farm Stand to review. Lea had so much fun picking out fresh veggies and fruit yesterday.

If you haven’t entered our giveaway from My Doll’s Life featuring the Hot Cocoa and Sweets set, you need to get your entry in! The giveaway closes tomorrow night.

PS – there is still time to send in your photo for tomorrow’s Sunday Showcase, too!
