Doll Crafts
Summer vacation is here which means my girls are in the mood to create! They love making things for their dolls bur are looking for something new this year. I’ve been looking all over the web trying to track down ideas and make a list of things to get when we go to the craft store later this week. Here are some of the projects I think they will want to start with:
- Make an easy tent for your dolls
- For mini dolls (or Polly Pocket) here are all the instructions for making a complete doll house from materials around the house
- Purchase doll sized t-shirts from the local craft store – decorate with fabric paint, jewels, and more to create custom shirts for your dolls
- Make your own doll flip flops

Can I complain for a bit?
So I saw the 25th anniversary show at Cirque du Soleil today. It was very nice. Cept at the end…. this big storm came, and they – get this – KICKED US OUT!!!! They made us go out into the rain and storm! And they said it was 5 miles away when it clearly wasn’t because we *saw lightning strike the building next to us! I lucky my dad worked there, so I called and he let us into the building… actually, the people employed by Cirque were very nice about letting us in… the people employed by Disney kicked us out…. Disney’s getting so badly sued…. that there is my consillation.
I love the old AG craft books… I wish I had them, but right now I’m working on the cookbooks.

I don’t like Miley Cyrus so much. Musicals-maybe. I hope AG dosen’t put too many musics straight(hey,then Julie’s movie would be musical(music) marathon! It hurts my head…)

this is random but my bffs dad manages (??) the contemporary.. IDK, that was random, i just thought i’d say it!
Woohoo! My yellow bunk bed came it! Now all my Ags have a place to sleep.
It’s suprisingly sturdy, and looking at the cloth the matresses/pillows are made of, I think they can easily be bleached to white. Not that i would, but Lily wanted to.
I’m just going to sell mine. It’s really ugly and not worth the trouble. Right now it functions as a shelf for junk in my closet. If I can make $30 from it, then it’ll be up on eBay in a few weeks.
Besides, I’d like to have some extra money for my AG Place trip next month. I’ve got a lot of stuff to sell. Hopefully I can get about $170 atleast for all of it (seperate auctions, of course)
Ugly is your opinion. I for one like it and think it goes with Helena (FKA Rebecca’s) personality.

I assume June 26th, becuase that is when new stuff came out last year, but I can’t be sure.
I’m not a huge fan of yellow and black. Looks like a bumble-bee. I prefer colors like pink, blue, etc. The bunk beds have a more gothic scheme, which is probably why you like it more than I do.

I never really bother with doll beds. Too much work. My dolls stand up 24/7. I also don’t feel like buying the bedding to make mine more attractive. Instead of pouring another $30 into it, I’m just going to cut my losses and sell it. I bought it for $40 at a garage sale a few years ago.
For one, the mattresses are striped black. You can yarn about how black is a goth stereotype, but I know you wear it. And even if they’re not goth by your standard, they qualify more than the current AG daybed.
40’s what I got mine for (not counting shipping).
I like having beds for display more than anything. I want to make a little room for Helena, and I’m hunting ebay for accessories for it.

You payed over $40 for yours? Did it include bedding? If not, then you got ripped off. I’ve seen just the bed sell for much less in the past.
And this bed isin’t goth. My friends brother who’s a jock had one like it.

Do you wear black wash skinny jeans and converse/vans? I think that’s an almost unfailing stereotype at my school. I’d never do it. My feet would look like flippers.

I think I prefer the goth way of dressing over emo. They creep me out, to be honest. Oh, and do you wear dramatic makeup and spike your hair? Some girl in my bio class last year did that, but I think she was more emo.
No… I wear my hair straight, in a high pony tail, or leave it in natural curls.
Good! You seem pretty normal now. When you and Taylor said that you were goth and emo, respectively, I was a little blindsided. Kinda made me wonder what kind of people I was talking with. Is your style more relaxed, or do you like to stand out?
Well, judging by all the goths in my old school, no, I’m pretty normal(ish – I mean, I do play with dolls, LOL).
I seem pretty normal too . . . no one except for my closest friends has even heard me say the word “doll”.
Lena, if I can only buy a few LOF books (under $50 at $8 apiece), which ones should I get? I can buy the Violet, Elsie, and Kathleen dolls for $210 total and I want to atleast read some of their books. Should I bother buying their accessories if it’s going to cost another $45?
I would get at least the first book of each series, so you can get to know each girl’s character.
I don’t buy accessories, mostly because I don’t like them, but it’s up to you. Or you can read the books and see who needs accessories more.
Their meet accessories, that is. I’m not a big fan of accessories, either. My AG dolls have their meet accessories and a bunch of outfits, nothing more.
I found Elsie’s retired school pinafore for about $27. I think I may get that instead. I like Elsie’s meet accessories, but Vi’s look odd.
Her pinafore is a very pretty outfit. If you found it cheap and want it, I suggest getting it.
My dolls only have the bed I got today, Kit’s lunch, and their meet accessories. I’m thinking of getting the school sets though and Chrissa’s llama… just because it’s a llama.
Oh and a bed I got at a garage sale years ago.
Is it an authentic AG bed? I think dolls beds are cool to look at . . . but they’re expensive and I don’t have much to do with them. On etsy a seller makes really pretty doll beds with designer fabrics for only $65 apiece. I may eventually see if she can make a My Twinn bed for a little more.
Have you seen Elsie’s pinafore outfit in person?
Yes, I have, and I love it on her. It looks even cuter than the stock photo on alof.
No, it’s not AG, it’s a pink bed with dancing elephants on it. And it fits my Karito Kids, so definatly not AG.

What a nut! Why would you buy 5 doll beds in the first place, much less 5 of the same bed? That’s $540 in doll beds for some little spoiled girl. You could get 5 dolls for that ridiculously high price. And of all the AG beds, why would you get Rebecca’s first? I’d get one of each if I were going to blow that much money.

I have three My Twinn dolls. They’re nice since they’re bigger than AG, more lifelike, and more flexible. I like to buy handmade outfits for them. One of my eBay sellers sells colonial dresses for AG or My Twinn for $15 apiece and it includes the dress, mob cap, and colonial purse.
That’s not what didn’t make sense. This is:

sara–william wallace was a man in the 1300s who wanted to gain scotland’s independence from england. he led the scottish ‘army’ in many battles with the english. if you want to know more about him, you can look him up on wikipedia or see the movie braveheart, but you’ll have to ask your parents first if you can see the movie because it is very gory at some parts.

Me too! I have the Sims 1, 2, and 3. The Sims 1 won’t work on my computer anymore, the Sims 3 is awful, and I play the Sims 2 all the time.
Yeah, Sims 1 kept crashing my computer so i got Sims 2,and i don’t even bother to get 3 since I don’t even have all the expanssion packs for 2 yet.
Yep, Sims 2 is the best! I’ve never had problems with it or any of its zillion expansion packs.
I wish I hadn’t bought the Sims 3. It was a waste of $30 and my giftcards.
I had one issue with 2, but it was easily solved.
ive had issues with games htat used to work on this computer but wont work now. one of them daid insert cd when it was already in, and another only says error report and wont play. so annoying.

I know a guy who’s a stunt double (yes, in FL) and he has an agent, I think it is very helpful, but not completly nessesary if you know where to look.

I do that the dolls are more proportional, and the clothes have me drooling. But the faces are pretty meh.

I used to have some Barbie clothes designer game. Or rather, my sister did and I ruined it! It looked cool on the box. You design Barbie clothes with the software and it prints out the clothes on special fabric textured paper. You then color it in and add glitter, etc. then glue it together so your Barbie has a new outfit. Too bad Windows 95 games generally don’t work on XP!
Okay, I looked at the Mixis dolls. I think it’s neat that there is finally a line of multi cultural dolls. With everything else, they’re more or less black, white, Hispanic, or Asian. They seem okay priced at $50, but it’s probably more since that’s in Canadian dollars.

AG uses real popular girls now-Sammi and Abigail. Maya was sort of unknown,because she was Canadian. And rest was known to lots of people.
Does every girl in AG movie get doll for free? I know that girls who acted as Frances and Florence got one. And I think Sammi got one too(in fact,I think she also got Sonali and Gwen). Plus,I think AnnaSophia got Samantha,too.

I loved Mamma Mia the movie so much that I bought an Abba CD a few weeks later. But then my CD player broke and I haven’t heard any of it since October.
I saw Mama Mia (the Broadway show) when I was in NY last year.
I went to NYC three years ago, but we didn’t see any Broadway shows. It’s too expensive for five people.
We had a plane later that day at Laguardia airport, and we were on Manhattan anyway (like I can be in NYC and not go to AGP), so my dad said “You wanna go see something on Broadway?” And we went. But it was expensive for just the two of us, I can’t imagine 5 people.
You know how to tell when you’re an AG fan? When you think “that 100$ I spent on Broadway could have gotten me a doll!”
Hmm, I like butterfly fly away, but I also like dancing queen cause its more upbeat and fast. Well, I guess punk rock 101 might be a little too mature for some people. But I love that song because it reminds me of the songs Blink 182, Green day and so on sing. I think a really pretty song is 1000 miles by vanessa carlton, I guess just because its an easy beat to keep your voice at.

I saw Mary Poppins on Broadway when i went to New York last year. I also saw the little mermaid. They were both really awesome and I would recomend buying the C.D.’s coz i bought the mary poppins one and it’s really good! When we were leaving New York and going to Canada we got stuck at Laguardia airport for ages coz there was a tornado or something and they weren’t letting any planes take off. It was sooo annoying. We didn’t end up getting to our hotel on Prince Edward Island until like 3 in the morning!

Ooh. Something like that happened to my youth leader! I was cheering for her and all of a sudden, I saw her go down! Umm, I have dolls that I got when I went w/ my dad 2 De Smit South Dakota and Walnut Grove MN a couple summers ago. Yes they’re Little House on the Prairie (I loved that stuff then! (Not that I don’t like it now! lol!)) I got Mary (I named her that cause she looks like Mary Ingalls imo. Charlotte, a doll like Laura’s, and a Laura Ingalls doll. They are all rag dolls. Oh, at Walnut Grove, they have a museum dedicated 2 the show!!!
And, it’s my brother’s birthday!!!! (younger) My mom and I shopped all morning 4 him (+ a detour 2 the bookstore 4 me!!! I got Rebecca and the Movies and a trading card set!) My mom is making the cake now! Mmmm. Cake! Sry. Random I kno!!!
