Today I had my glue gun out and was having such fun creating Spring Time Friends for my dolls. Here is what you will need to make some Spring Time Friends of your own for your dolls.
- Large pompoms in White and Yellow
- Small White Pompoms
- Small Googly Eyes
- Felt in White, Orange and Pink
- Fun Foam
- Glue, Glue Dots or Glue Gun (I used a glue gun to make the craft faster, If you use one you need an adults help)
Step 1- Place your pompom on a piece of paper and draw a heart shape around it. This heart shape will be the feet pattern for both your chick and your bunny.
Step 2– Cut out your pattern and then transfer your pattern on to some fun foam. I used white fun foam bases for all my Springtime Friends. Cut out as many feet as you are going to need for the friends you are going to make.
Step 3– Place a dab of glue on the middle of your “feet” cut out. Place one of the large pompoms on the glue.
Step 4– Place another dab of glue on the top of the pompom and then add a second pompom.
Step 5– Cut out a shape for the ears, I free hand cut it to look like a U or V shape out of white for the ears. Then I free hand cut pink lining for the ears. Next I glued them into the ears.
Step 6– Run a line of glue along the bottom edge of the ears so you can attach them to the bunny’s head as shown in the photos above.
Step 7– Add a dab of glue to the back of the bunny’s body and place one of the small white pompoms as the tail.
Step 8- Add two dabs of glue to the bunny’s face and then press on the googly eyes.
Step 9– Cut a small pink triangle out of felt and add a dab of glue beneath the bunny’s eyes. Press the triangle on for the nose.
Step 10 – Cut some small pieces of white felt out to be the bunny’s front paws.
Glue them in to place. Let your bunny dry and then give him to your dolls to play with!
Step 1– To make the chick assemble your supplies. You will need to have a feet base, two pompoms in yellow, two googly eyes, a triangle of orange felt and some scrap fun foam.
Step 2– Place a dab of glue on the feet base then press a yellow pompom in place.
Step 3– Place another dab of glue on the pompom and add the second yellow pompom.
Step 4– Free hand cut a jagged shape to be the bottom of the cracked egg. Glue in to place.
Step 5– Glue the eyes and triangle nose into place.
Step 6– Cut another jagged shape for the head and glue it to the top of the pompom. Let it dry and then give to your doll to enjoy!
These fun little Springtime friends will fit in small Easter Baskets and in your doll’s hands. They also look great on your dolls table! Happy Easter enjoy your Spring Time friends!
