Anna here! One of the first things I ever made for 18″ dolls was a table setting for my daughter’s dolls. I had fun making the little details, from the matching tablecloth and napkins to the napkin rings. Today I am going to share a version of that first napkin ring.
Because it is made of wire it keeps it’s shape and can be used over and over again!
Let’s take a look at what we’ll need!
- buttons (Mine are from Laura Kelly’s button mix. You can see it here!)
To get started, wrap wire around the end of a finger. Slip it off of your finger, leaving the wire ends free.
It’s button time! I sorted out smallish orange, red and pink buttons to choose from. I love the eclectic look and want to use a different button for each napkin ring. Now how do I pick which one? 🙂
Go ahead and pick out one button for each napkin ring you want to make!
Place a button onto one of the wires. Thread the wire through both button holes.
Wrap each wire end around the wire on both sides of the button.
Press the wire loop so it makes an oval.
Place wet glue on the surface of the button.
Sprinkle glitter onto the glue.
Shake the excess glitter off and allow it to dry.
Once the glue is dry, this little napkin ring is ready to add a little fun to a doll size table!
It is oh-so-sparkley!
It is such a quick and easy project, it would be fun to make napkin rings for different seasons and holiday’s!
Make them in the colors you love! These little napkin rings are sure to dress up your doll’s table!
