Happy Friday!! Like I said before, the regular features of the site will stay the same this summer – so we still have Karen’s awesome crafts on Friday and the Doll Play Idea for today will be up later this morning.
I love seeing kids wearing sun visors in the summer and I thought it would be fun to make a simple doll version of a sun visor.
To make today’s craft you will need:
- Felt or Fun Foam or Construction Paper
- A kitchen mug for tracing
- 1 hole punch
- Scissors
- White craft glue if you are using felt or construction paper
- Pipe cleaners
- A pencil
Step 1- turn your mug upside down as shown in the photo and trace it on to your felt, fun foam or paper.
Step 2- fold your paper or felt into half and glue into place, let dry. If you are using fun foam see the photo and step 2 a below.
Step 2 a- If you are using fun foam cut your circle in half as shown in the photo above
Step 3- Punch a hole on each side of the half circle as shown in the photo above. This is where we are going to place the pipe cleaner in step 4
Step 4-Feed the pipe cleaner through one of the holes, fold and twist the pipe cleaner into place on both sides. Now your visor is ready to wear. Slip the visor on your dolls head and she is ready for a day in the dolly sun!
Today’s photos feature: American Doll Room back drop, dollar store baby pool, vintage doll patio furniture, doll bathing suits by skippysmom, Chrissa’s shorts made by Karen, Doll Diaries shirt from Char.
I look forward to sharing more dolly fun crafts with you next week!
