Doll Craft – Doll Shoe Holder

I am loving that my friend Lisa Marie at Emily Rose Doll Clothes keeps finding these great doll crafts and sharing them with everyone. This one is way too cute!

Shoe Storage container for 18" doll shoes

Using a cereal box, Craft Foam Sheets and some glue you can easily make this cute shoe storage and display piece. Use your favorite colors, add a decorative touch and make as many as you need. Way cute. Go to Making Friends for the complete instructions.

  1. AG&FAN says:

hmm…how do you do the prototype thing?
I think it’ll be fun to change one doll’s eye color, skin color and do stuff like that…
And plus it’ll give me chance to see how my dream doll might look like!
Anyway AG doesn’t even have doll with wavy DARK brown hair(yes,Felicity wavy),
soft green eyes or sky blue eyes, light skin, eyelashes like Ruthie’s,and classic mold. Well,it’s my dream come true if she loves nature(not like Lanie, but Lanie’s love for Great Outdoors and Nicki combined) and lives in/near national park.

But I think next doll will have blond hair, since Rebecca had brown hair.
    I don’t know about other doll,though.

  2. AG&FAN says:

does anyone know how to do prototype? :D

  3. AG&FAN says:

actually,I think Lena mentioned it like months ago,but I didn’t read it too carefully. Plus I’m too lazy to search all the posts…after Rebecca one, since I started to leave a comment since Beckie post.

  4. Lauren says:

    Maybe photoshop?

  5. Ashleigh says:

i got to sleep in today because of capt testing, yes!

  6. AG&FAN says:

oh,yes, photoshop thing. how do you do that? do you have to buy something or does it have requirements?
I mean photoshop that you can change dolls’ eye color into eye color from another doll, etc

  7. Lena says:

You have to buy Photoshop, and you have to know how to use it. AG can only make the real prototypes, you can only photoshop.

I’m actually starting to think there’ll be no new girls this year, but if they do come out, this is what I want:

1804, then I want her to have the light brown skin tone, Addy mold, curly hair, and blue or green eyes. Some thing that makes her look half white half black.

1880-90, white, original mold, blue or green eyes, blonde hair (w/ bangs, so its accurate), & be a ballerina. Mostly because I want ballet outfits from the 1800s.

1900′s, please, just not white. there are so many things you can do where a colored girl would be in your best interest (civil rights, cuban exile, immigration from asia in the 80′s)

  8. Maya says:

I’d be interested in a caucasian french girl during the French Revolution, and an AA girl from the Civil Rights. Prefferably the french girl could have Nellie’s hair color, but longer and wavy and soft green eyes. The AA girl could have shorter Ruthie length curly hair, and brown eyes. I don’t mind which face mold for either of them.

  9. Maya says:

why don’t you think there will be a new historical, Lena???
I’d be disappointed if there wasn’t-extremely disappointed, but I’m also beginning to have my doubts about a new character…but why do you think?

  10. Maya says:

why did samantha and nellie’s mini dolls stick around after she was retired???

  11. Lena says:

Because minidolls are like the books. Part of her collection, but not part of it.

I doubt it because at this point last year we had more than ISBNs for Rebecca, we had her name, the books were on Amazon, and we had her plot summaries.

I’d love to be proven wrong, however.

  12. Lauren says:

Lena– you may be right about no new girls. I’m hearing that there’s no longer any record of Denise and Sarah’s books??

  13. Lena says:

Lauren, they were originally found using librarian software, so I doubt there’d be a record of them available to anyone.

  14. Sarah says:

was johnny depp at the oscars?
i cant wait im going to a teaparty (ag tea party) thursday (that was random lol)
ps i 4got to say hi guys!!!!! lol

  15. Ana says:

    Hi Sarah!

  16. Grace says:

Tim Burton-YUCK. Johnny Depp-YUCK. Please no. Pleaaaseeee noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
    LOL.

  17. Ava says:

Yeah, the Twilight stuff is too much, but I still go to Hot Topic. I’m a sucker for their socks and Invader Zim merchandise. (Huh, maybe I AM goth.)

  18. Michaela says:

Honestly, I don’t like Tim Burton much either. Johnny Depp’s okay though, I guess.

  19. Lauren says:

Lena–just to clarify, what I mean is, the librarian I heard about it from says she can’t find them on her software anymore.

  20. Lena says:

Lauren, really? Hmm. I guess either she was lying and tried to make it so no one could find it (cause how many of us are librarians?) or she can’t find them because they took them down.

I have most of Tim Burton’s movies. Icluding the hard to find Edward Scissorhands (cry every time I see that) That states my preference for movies, haha.

  21. Lena says:

OMIGOSH, I just went on the Dear America website to check something. You know how the books are discontinued, right? Well they’re comming back with new covers! The two books who’s names I can make out are both old (Voyage on the Great Titanic, and Journey to the New World) but I can’t make out the other two. One of those tites looks like The {T or F word } {B or R word} War, which is not anywhere close to one of the titles, and the girl looks like she’s wearing a 30-50s style dress. So YAY for new Dear Americas!

  22. Lena says:

OK, the other unreadable book looks like The Winter of Red Snow (as I can make out the diarist to be Abigail Jane) but the other one looks like she’s named Piper. There is no diarist named Piper in DA that I know of. So Yay!

BTW, a search of Amazon & Google turnerd up nothing.

  23. Lauren says:

That’s really cool that you found that, Lena! I can’t figure out that one title either. It would be great if they’re publishing a new book in the series!

  24. Lena says:

Haha, actaully it was an accident. I wanted to know what year Nannie Little Rose took place so I went there to see that big banner. Makes me very curious.

  25. Sarah says:

hi ana!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the tea party was great it was about molly!!!

  26. Maya says:

i’ve never been to tea at AG, is it fun???????

  27. Maya says:

i actually think Tim Burtan’s a really good director and that Johnny Depp’s a good actor, but everybody’s entitled to their own opinion :)

  28. Lena says:

I can’t tell what those two words are, but they look like they start with those letters, Grace.

  29. Grace says:

Oh do they look like *bad* words?

  30. Lena says:

On the covers of Dear America?

  31. Ana says:

Lena, did any AG doll wear sneakers?

  32. Lena says:

Mia had blue converse, the AGTs used to come in an outfit with them (Ready for Fun outfit, I think) I don’t believe anyother GOTY or JLY outfit had them.

  33. Sarah says:

well…….. i like johnny depp and tim burton… some people dont and i understand……. but i guesss it is noo bigg deal

  34. AG&FAN says:

this is VERY random, but I decided to rename my Rebecca-she’ll be Laura!
(I named her after Laura from Little House Books.
Only thing different is,that real Laura didn’t have long hair like Rebecca’s. But still,it is close to Laura with curly hair!).
Soooooooo if I want Mary(not really) it’ll have to be Lanie, lol.
Well,Rebecca and Lanie do look alike. Only think different is their skin tone,
    mold,hair color,and well,I read that Lanie’s hair is thicker than Beckie’s.

  35. Maya :) says:

good luck to everybody who entered Lanie’s contest!

  36. Grace says:

    Lena-yes.
Laura’s hair straightened out after awhile. When she was 15 her hair was below her knees. :o
    I really want Rebecca.

  37. Ana says:

    Thanks Lena!

  38. katherine w says:

I cant wait till Monday to meet Jane Kurtz, the author the Lanie books, at the American Girl Store in Dallas! i am so happy! i have only met Valerie Tripp, Mary Casanova before.

  39. Ava says:

That’s AWESOME about the Dear America books, Lena! I was obsessed with them in 4th and 5th grade.

I cried watching Edward Scissorhands, too. (“Hold me.” “I can’t.”)

  40. Maya :) says:

i can’t wait for the DA books!
i’ve met Jane Kurtz at my school before, b/c she and one of the teachers went to school together so she went to our school a lot. Also, my teacher was Ethiopian and Jane Kurtz writes a lot of Ethiopian novels ,so she visited our class. She’s nice lol
I haven’t yet read Lanie’s books, are they good???

  41. Ava says:

    I haven’t read Lanie’s books,either. They seem cute.

  42. Grace says:

I had a dream I met Char and her daughters, and me and my friend were at her house. And then I said “I love your website” and she said thanks and asked us if we wanted to use the computer. Her daughters were on it and they were on the project sock website. We said “Here’s the thing we gotta get from Chicago to New York before sundown.” and she asked us if we wanted a ride. We’re like “Really?!” and she said “Sure”. I saw a pic of Char at AGP but in my dream she hand blonde hair and A LOT of makeup :P Two girls were at the computer, her daughters (does she have two?).
    Weird…
BTW Maya, changed your name huh?
    :D
Well I have only read an excerpt of her books. They aren’t at my library, but then again the only GOTY book I saw there was Marisol. :(
:’( I want to read them.
Soon I am getting the Doll School book, do any of you have it? Is it good? NOTE: IF YOU WANT TO PHOTOCOPY IT, DO NOT, AND I MEAN DO NOT, WRITE THEIR NAMES ON THE PAPERS FIRST. IT WILL BE ON THE COPIES. My friend just got it so it would be fun to use. We all have 5 dolls altogether, not including mini Molly, Polly, and my AG Sized baby Britta. They are: (in order they joined the family of dolly cousins [yes my friend is actually my 3rd cousin] : Chelsea, Disney girl, 2001, Kirsten, June 2007,Samantha, December 2007, Elizabeth, 2008, Felicity, 2009. :) and SOON…Anna, March/April 2010, my friend is getting her-JLY 39, and Sonali, July/August 2010 for me.

  43. Grace says:

BTW I can’t tell u where I live but I don’t live in Chicago or NY. Dreams are weird.

  44. Ava says:

I loved the Marisol book. It’s my favorite GOTY book, I guess because it was realistic and more serious than other GOTY books.

  45. katherine says:

i really liked Marisol’s book too but my favorite was Jess.

  46. Julie says:

Hey girlies! It’s Julie. I haven’t been on in awhile.. Computer problems. But now it’s fixed! >.<
So.. I have been starting to make a movie of Hope was Here, with AG Dolls of course, would you girls watch it if I made it?

    Just Wondering,
    Julie :)

  47. Julie says:

Okay.. Is anyone else like… OBSESSED with Stephenswodadancer?
(Well, not obsessed.. but.. I think she is awesome and she is one of my role models! >.<)

  48. Grace says:

    Julie-yes to both ur q’s.

  49. Ava says:

It’s cool that you’re making a movie, Julie!

  50. Maya :) says:

    lol, Grace, yeah, i am
i liked Marisol’s books, but my favs were Mia’s and Nickis.
I also liked Chrissa’s, but not her second book
and also, yes to both your questions, Julie.
    sounds awesome (movie)
and dreams ARE weird, I had this bizzare dream where i went to the AG store in new york and they were handing out free dolls at the front and they handed my samantha and gave my sister this Josephina doll with her party dress on and when i left they said “hold on, we forgot samantha was retired, we’re sorry.” they gave me this doll that doesn’t exist and said “heres the new historical, tell us what you think”
