Karen here and today I am sharing my book review of the new Samantha Beforever Mystery Danger in Paris. I am a huge fan of the Mystery books that American Girl publishes and I especially love the Samantha line of mysteries. I have read them all. Truth be told they should be called the Samantha and Nellie Mysteries as Nellie’s as involved in the stories as Samantha.

Danger in Paris sees Samantha and Nellie on a trip to Paris with their Grandmother and Grandfather, the Admiral. While the girls are excited to see the sites and sounds of Paris they also discover that Paris in the early 1900’s could be a dangerous place for wealthy Americans. Adventure and fun awaits Samantha and Nellie as they visit the Eiffle Tower, The Ace de Triomphe, The champs-Elysees and the Cathedral Notre-Dame. Their adventure takes place in the winter and Samantha even gets to go skating at Bois de Boulogne, a large public park in Paris.

This mystery is beautiful written by Sarah Masters Buckey. She captures Samantha’s adventurous and curious spirit and her writing transports you to a time of steam ships, wonderment and impeccable manners. I can not wait for another adventure with Samantha and Nellie soon. If you like mysteries I know you are going to love the Samantha Series and Danger in Paris is one of the best books in this series I have read.
