Attention doll lovers who love taking pictures! Have we got a cool gig for you! My friend Lisa-Marie is the owner of Emily Rose Doll Clothes admits that taking photographs has never been one of her favorite things to do, not because she doesn’t harbor secret dreams of being able to capture perfect, amazing moments in time with her lens (of course she does) but she seriously stinks at it. I mean seriously (her words, not mine). Then one day last week during her daily blog browsing she had an idea – why not give one lucky Mom (or anyone over 18 really) who IS good at taking photographs the opportunity to do something she loves and get nearly every new product offered by Emily Rose absolutely free… to keep.
Sound like fun? Here’s how to enter:
- Pick a product you would like to use as your “sample” – CLARIFICATION – this does NOT have to be an Emily Rose product – any doll outfit you already have or something similar will work.
- Take a photograph of the “sample” in the style of the Emily Rose product photos (like the soccer outfit or the Brownies uniform).
- Email your photo to customercare@dollsclothes-emilyrose.com no later than midnight January 30, 2009.
- Emily Rose will choose a winner from the entries and announce on Doll Diaries the first week of February.
Once the winner is selected:
- The winner of the contest will start receiving shipments of products from Emily Rose
- The winner will take the photographs as per Emily Rose specifications*
- The winner gets to keep all of the Emily Rose products they receive for free

Yes, Selena you are quick! I’m not sure about Rebecca – it all depends on what she looks like, her stories, and her accessories. Plus, it really depends on if either of my daughters wants her.
I think her story will be very interesting! Although if what that one post about book descriptions is true, the factories sound a little bit like Nellie/Samantha’s stories. And it would also be great for girls to learn about Ellis Island… I went there last November and I learned A TON!!

when we tried to go to ellis island it started pooring down rain so i did not get to go cause my mom wanted us to go back to are hotel room. your right the stories do seem like a cross

Well…Anna and Ana are different names…they are similar, but they (or at least one of them) are minor characters. AG had a Hopscotch Hill girl named “Gwen” and then they released “Gwen” as Chrissa’s friend also. I could see it as a big problem if they released two dolls with the same name (or similar names, such as Anna and Ana) but i very seriously doubt they would EVER do this…
I went to Ellis Island last March. It was awesome, but very cold/rainy.
nicki had a friend named Becca!!!! its a pattern- one of a few ive realized. like, how jess had her tropical experience- and a little bit of animals. nicki was ALL about animals- and then her SKIING (winter sport)- which is like MIA (skating- winter sport), who got bullied by Paige in bravo mia. Chrissa!! BULLIES!!!! theres more but this is just a rough explanation and the real one is extremely hard to talk about over typing rather than talking!!!! oops i 4got marisol (i meant to exclude kailee and lindsey since i didnt know them very well)! she moved to a new place also- just like chrissa!!!

I love taking pictures like that, but I haven’t got a doll clothes dummy. And, how long would this job last, anyway? And does it have to be any certain brand of doll clothes in the sample pic, or can it be anything you own?
O oops, I meant Kirsten has a cousin named ANA (or anna or whatev!!) Also, It’s sorta Molly’s story too: she loves preforming!!

I totally agree w/ you on the preforming thing! I saw someone post how they were like Molly b/c of that!! I haven’t even read Molly’s books!! lol !! Also, IDK if I’ll get rebecca b/c I already have 10 dolls and I might want to get a GOTY instead but Rebecca is a historical so I’ll have a while to decide!! hehe

It didn’t delete my brother’s “Superstion” (by Stevie Wonder) vid. It just told him that they were going to put up advertisments, and they did. I think it depends on what the owner of the song wants them to do.

i like youtube even though i have only made one video. i love watching other peoples. i will buy rebecca but not as soon as she comes out cause it will be right after my birthday and i am hoping to get either gwen or the picnci set cause when i go to new york i hope that my mom will let me get chrissa starter collection since she is making me wait to get her.

My mom is not very good at taking pictures, and I think it would be stressful to have to take pictures of everything perfectly and send them in on time and stuff, just too inconveniant. Technically, I believe Ana is pronounced “Ah-nuh”, I have a friend and that’s her name. So the names really are different because they are pronounced differently also. I will have to see Rebecca before I decide to buy her, but I probably will get her.

That will be so amazing!! I’m not sure what I want her to look like, just not blond I guess. I hope she has pretty hair though, and a cool pet!! I just love the AG animals, they are all so cute. Except Sugar kind of bugs me sometimes though because she’s all fluffy and too girly for me. I want Chrissa’s llama so bad!! Oh, I might get a Lindsey doll on ebay, just maybe. She’s $300, but it comes with her entire collection and she’s in perfect condition and everything!! I want her so bad!!!

I haven’t read her book yet, but I will want to buy it too if I get Lindsey. She’s so hard to get though, and she’s always really expensive. I’ve seen the doll alone go for $350, and with her collection upwards of $475. It’s ridiculous!!! Her outfit goes for like $65, and her bobby pin ALONE for like, $50!!!! That’s why I want to get this doll, because she has her entire collection and everything, and it’s only $300!!

Same here. I am kicking myself for not asking for her back in 2001. But I was only 8, give me a break!! It just sucks that she has to cost so much, why do people have to demand such ridiculous amounts for her?? One person wants $300…for her laptop.

Caitlin i was just like you i liked her but did not really want her and not i regreat it when i goto the american girl B&B dallas and see her in the case and think that i could of had her. but thats life so now i try to get every goty stuff so i wont have to regret it later. like jess’s hamik that is the only thing i am missing from her and i want it so bad but that year i went to ag place new york andi bought kit and things that said new york on it
Since Lindsey was the first Girl of the Year doll, she is the most rarest and she is special because, like I said, she was the first! Her outfits and accessories are very rare as well. If you go on ebay and type in like “american girl Jess” it shows up a LOT more results than when you type in “american girl lindsey”. One reason is because the people that do have Lindsey, they are keeping her for themselves because they know that she is so rare. Because she is such a rare doll, she therefore is selling for a lot more
