Fall is lingering a little today.  The crisp air and changing leaves are amazing.  I stitched up a memory of fall for our doll space.

This project, inspired by the colorful falling leaves, has a fun twist.

It is the pop of color!  Join me to make this fun leaf pillow for your dolls.

Here’s what you’ll need-

  • felt in 3 colors (Mine are red, orange and tan)
  • embroidery floss
  • needle
  • batting

Layer two pieces of felt, one on top of the other, that you will use for the leaf.  Draw a leaf shape on the top piece of felt with chalk. Cut the leaf shape out of the two layers.  Cut the leaves down the middle.

Cut out two squares of felt for the pillow.  Put together the leaf on one of the squares, using both of the colors.

Stitch down the middle of the two halves of the leaf using a zig zag pattern.

Stitch both squares together leaving one side open.  Add the batting and finish stitching up the side of the pillow.

I am loving the vibrant colors and the blue accents.  All of that color adds fun to the project!

So, what is your favorite season of the year?
