Clementine Harper is the newest girl in the A Girl for All Time’s series based on a fictional family’s descendants during various points in British History. Clementine and her brothers have been sent to stay in a large, crumbling house in the countryside to keep them away from the bombing in London during “The Blitz” ( phrase used in English to describe the period of sustained strategic bombing of the United Kingdom by Germany during the Second World War. – source)
Clementine put on her Land Girl outfit and headed out to pick some apples in the countryside. After filling her basket she sat down in all the leaves to inspect the red and green apples she had picked.
She leaned back in the leaves, letting her mind wander back to her life in the city. She wondered if her parents were safe. She wondered how long she and her brothers would be out in the country.
Clementine’s Land Girl outfit consists of a red blouse with a self tie and denim dungarees. Her work boots and polka dot head scarf are part of the accessories pack. The outfits are so beautifully made – and everything fastens with snaps instead of velcro.
I think Clementine favors the red apple most!
You can see the imprint in the sole of her boot says “A Girl for All Time” with their signature pear logo, too.
This photo gives you a better look at her complete Land Girl outfit. While it is very simple, it is very historically accurate for 1940’s England.
I wanted to give you a look at the back of the dungarees – you have to cross the straps or else they seem enormous! And of course, one of my pets just had to photo bomb my picture. Clementine is not too sure about that BIG dog.
Clementine’s Land Girl outfit is $39.99 and her accessories are $19.99 from the A Girl for All Time. Use DollDiaries10 to receive 10% off your purchase in the A Girl for All Time US shop.
I just love this outfit on Clementine. She looks a little tentative – like she is just not sure about her new life in the country – but something tells me, she will adapt just fine.
For those of you who are wondering, Clementine’s book is in the final stages of editing and should be out in time for the holidays. I can not wait to read it! My Grandmother was born and raised in England during the same time period and I think it will be a fascinating look into what life was like and will help connect some of the dots in the stories my Grandmother has told me over the years.
