Happy Valentine’s Weeks! That’s right, we aren’t waiting for Valentine’s Day to have a party, we are going to celebrate from now until February 15!

For the February Reader Photo Event the theme is going to be Valentine’s – but with a little twist.  Read carefully…

Instead of just taking a picture of your dolls dressed up in cute little pink outfits like I did in my last post, why not take it one step further and get creative with it? Once you have taken your Valentine themed photos, turn them into a Valentine card for all to enjoy. How, you ask?

• Or you might have another graphics program like Photoshop Effects or something else you prefer

Use one of those tools to make your Valentine’s card (I used Picnik’s fancy collage effects in the one I did above) and save it off to your computer – if you tell the software to save it as 540 pixels wide I will be SO happy!! Then use our handy form below to submit your entry.

The rest of the details:

• Everyone is invited to submit ONE virtual Valentine per day using the guidelines above.
• We will draw 3 entries at random and 2 entries will be picked based on their creativity/excellence to receive an exclusive Doll Diaries Love t-shirt OR tote bag for dolls (it will be your choice).

To continue our month long Springfield Dolls giveaway extravaganza, this week we are highlighting the Springfield Collection Furniture for dolls and will be giving two winners the furniture piece of their choice from the Springfield Dolls online store.

Our friends at Springfield Dolls have recently launched their SFStyleClub – a fun destination for girls where you can create outfits for your dolls, change them over and over, earn points for playing, do some activities, and share your style with your friends.

For our giveaway, you are invited to submit one new outfit for your dolls per day at the SFStyleClub and share it with us. You can create as many outfits as you like at the SF Style Club because it earns you points and unlocks new outfits, but you can only send one in per day.

At the end of the giveaway we will be choosing two entries at random and the winner will get the Springfield Dolls outfit they created. Sound like fun?? In other words, YOU get to create YOUR PRIZE!

Our Halloween Parade was such a hit and we have had so many requests for the Doll Diaries t-shirts that we decided to have a Holiday Gala party! As you can see, Natalie has already started working on her display – she has a metallic tree that we found at Target today for $8 and she hung all her American Girl Hallmark ornaments on it. Drumroll please…. This is the final giveaway for 2011 for Doll Diaries!! Don’t worry – we’ll have plenty more in the new year, but this is it for now. We are giving away a portable doll room from American Doll Room to two (2) lucky winners! All the information about how to enter is at the bottom of the post, but first a few photos and insights into this fun extension for doll play!

American Doll Room is a new company that sells portable play rooms for 18″ dolls like American Girl. The concept is that you can simply flip open the sturdy room, set up your doll scenes and play, then when you are done, you fold it back down, pop it in the very cool carrying bag and carry it with you. Brilliant!!

The set up above is actually two of the rooms side by side. Each room has painted walls (you choose your color when ordering), floors that look like hardwood, removable carpet, removable curtains and the outside looks like vinyl siding. You can get pretty creative! In our scene above, Kailey and Kit are decorating the Christmas Tree in one side of the room while Maria and Chrissa are relaxing in the other side of the room.

Each modular room measures 24″ tall by 24″ deep by 24″ wide making it the perfect size for American Girl and other 18″ doll furniture.

Springfield Girl Abby is getting ready for a nice long bath. Having removable carpet and curtains makes the American Doll Room even more versatile.

The carpet adds a cozy touch! In this bedroom set up, Springfield Girl Madison is hanging out with Tender Hearts Emma and all our American Girl cats on the Emily Rose trundle bed.

Flip the modular room around and you get another look all together! It’s the great outdoors! The stone patio and exterior walls are perfect for hosting a backyard barbecue or party just like Chrissa, Julie and Emma are doing.

When you are done playing or if you want to take your American Doll Room to a friend’s house, place all your dolls and accessories in the large duffle bag.

Fold up the room and place it in its heavy duty, purple carry bag and you are ready to go! Because the entire room folds down flat and fits into its own carry bag it it is very easy to store under a bed or in a closet when its not in use.

The American Doll Rooms sell for $89 each or you can get multi-room packages. They are so much fun for setting up scenes and really extending doll play!! So, now are you ready to win one?
