When my cousin, Holly, asked my daughters and niece to be in her wedding they were over the top excited!!  Knowing that the bride was an American Girl Doll lover in her youth, I decided to give my girls a wedding doll surprise!  Okay…I have to admit, I also wanted them to have some fun distraction to keep them occupied while all the practicing and events played out.  Needless to say, the “Bride Squad” had a memorable time.

For the rehearsal dinner, I had a local screen printing shop make my daughters and niece adorable shirts.  J&S Apparel (www.jsapparelllc.com ) did a fantastic job!  They placed each of their names on the front and on the back of the shirt, “Holly’s Jr. Bride Squad.”  Their little black skirts were from Justice and their shoes were lavender Converse.

As their rehearsal surprise I made each of their dolls matching outfits.  The shirts were purchased from eBay store, Judy’s Cuties.  I used a clip art diamond ring and in Microsoft Word printed out “The Doll Bride Squad” design onto Transfer Magic Paper.  I purchase this paper from JoAnn Fabric Stores.  It is fun and very easy to use…print, cut, iron on.  The doll skirts and converse were purchased from My Doll’s Life.  Of course the dolls had to have little panties!  I worked with a FANTASTIC eBay seller, Suzanne, of Blossoms Little Things.  I contacted Suzanne at the last minute (2 days before the wedding)!!  She made the panties I needed and shipped them that same day with overnight shipping!!!  I have to say, these doll panties are very well made.  I have reviewed lots of doll clothes over the years and these are on top of the list.  They fit the doll’s bottom very well… even better than the ones American Girl makes.

The bride loved her “Jr. Bride Squad”  !!!!

This will be a day my daughters and niece remember forever!

For their wedding day doll surprise I had each of their dolls dressed in Emily’s Christmas dress and Rebecca’s movie dress T-strap shoes.  I couldn’t believe how much they matched the girls’ dresses!
