I have never been a fan of the Bratz doll line and we haven’t had them in this house since the first time my daughter received one as a gift – the baby Bratz doll was wearing thong underwear – eewww. So the recent news the Bratz manufacturer, MGA Entertainment, must stop producing the dolls because of a copyright infringement lawsuit from Mattel is music to my ears.
According to the court order, MGA must stop using the Bratz name and must stop selling the dolls as of February 2009.
O wow!!! I got a bratz doll a couple years ago- the Paris one- from my aunt… pretty long ago!! It was Marisol’s year so ya! They always looked kinda creepy… WAY to big heads!! And I never knew that but THONGS??? ON A BABY??!! You’re right Char! EEEEWWWW!!!

Hey, everyone! (Or at least Sel! lol) So, THANK HEAVENS!!!! I knew that Bratz was going to POSSIBLY be shut down, but now that I know it’s true, I’m happy! Yeah, my friends and I played with them for years, but I thought it was really innappropriate (especially now that I recall that I played with many all the time when I was, like, five and six.. yechh!) And I can believe the baby thong thing… it seems that Barbie has finally triumphed. Even though both of them have inapproprate figures. She needs a Banana Reptile Animal! (Did you understand that??)
i was always disgusted by the bratz dolls. it gives little girls a bad idea of whats okay to dress like and whats not. it will be a relief to see them out of stores. YAY!

Jess and I sometimes to a word thing if we’re talking about personal topics. We use the first letter of random words to get our point across. So apple might be Aardvark, People, Preppy, Little, Elephant.

That IS freaky, Sel! I’m SUCH a Massie. I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve, but I don’t normally use them, unlike her. I’m clever-minded, self-confident, and love leading. But I think I look most like Claire, because I have short blond hair, blue eyes, and I was bullied when I first moved. But ya know what? I discovered that it was the bullies’ faults- now that I’ve left that school. The meanest girl always called me “little girl”, but I know she was jealous, because her life pretty much sucks. I’m a super softie, so it was hard for me to take. Plus, since Zoe wasn’t around, I felt SO alone, because the friends I thought I made actually ended up turning against me in 6th grade. Now I know that people can’t force me to do things, and that I’m a human, too, and I have rights. So, yeah, I was like Claire in the beginning, but now I’m, like, so popular in school now so yeah. I got a Bratz doll once. It was a struggle to get out of the box, and it was a baby, but it wore a fake alligator skin diaper!
Bratz are not my favorite doll, but however Mattel is sueing over that the head Bratz designer was working for mattle when they claim, he got an idea of a fashion doll.
Is Mattel going to sue every doll company that has a changeable wardrobe?
Mattel sued because Bratz was the first line in forever that offered competition to Barbie.
Again, I dont care for the Bratz personally, but 100,000 folks will be unemployed due to Mattel’s possessiveness, and alot of fans will be too.
