The Twilight movie phenomenom is coming to the Barbie collection. Toys “R” Us will being selling exclusive Bella and Edward “Barbie and Ken” dolls in October 2009. The Canadian TRU already has the dolls available for pre-sale but they won’t ship until late November.
Characters Bella Swan and Edward Cullen are dressed in their trademark outfits and they have done a great job with making the Edward doll’s skin tone and facial features true to the movie character.
What do think of them? I think they are gorgeous and would be a must for true Twilight fan or movie doll collection.

I’m no fan of Twilight, I don’t pretend to be, I make my opinion public, but they are nice dolls with nice (not pink) outfits. If I still collected Barbie i’d get Bella….. but she would get a serious personality……personality.
The dolls look a lot like the characters, but I’m not into barbie or twilight. Edward looks very pale! And Bella looks like a Barbie. Lol. Sorry, I had to say that.
But yeah, I like how there’s no pink there. Nothing wrong with pink, just overdoses…..
Ick! At least the other doll company tried to make them look like Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson! Doesn’t look like Mattel even tried imo! I love, love, LOVE Twilight, but this doll’s face looks too much like Barbie! And the Edward doll looks ugly! The only good things are the clothes!
And heck, I’m hoping that SM doesn’t know what “bella” means, b/c bella is ppplllaaaiiinnnn bread (lol) .
If I GOT her, (If she was really cheap) I would rename her.

Mattel knows how to make money. Funny how the dolls will be available right around the time New Moon is released.

Edward looks like the actor, but Bella just looks like a Barbie with brown hair. I like the Tonner dolls better. I hope Tonner comes out with more dolls in the series!

Um, Sara, you are talking about the Robert Tonner Dolls. They are gorgeous dolls, but super expensive.
Now that I think of it, those dolls look nothing like I thought they would. Edward’s face mold is hideous, and Bella is just another Barbie Doll pulled out of the pile.
If you look at Edward’s hair, it looks all bushy in the back. I hope these are a hit though, so Mattel would try doing more of the people in Twilight. I absolutely love Alice.
I would pay 20 bucks for one, maybe more, maybe less. Could this case be a bad photo?

I read on the barbie blog that they’re not done yet. So IDK. I don’t know why but I really want the twilight dolls. I’m a doll collector. Though I prefer the Robert Tonner dolls there so expensive. And have you seen the action figures at Hot Topic? They’re scary. Ya I’m a Nerd{I like dolls, Harry Potter, Twilight, Narnia, and Disney}.
Um also why isn’t there ever Jacob stuff? Hes WAY better than Edward. Sorry Team Edward.
Oh and also on the barbie blog “Barbie” said don’t tell Ken but Edward’s dreamy. Even though I am no fond of Edward I thougt it was funny.
