Barbie Convention 2009

The 2009 Barbie Convention was held in Washington DC this past week with yesterday being open to the public and I MISSED IT! Had I been paying attention, I could have easily gone down there and taken a look at Barbie’s slick new pink VW Beetle for myself, taken pictures of her lifesize 50th anniversary dress myself, and taken in all the Barbie goodness… you guessed it… MYSELF. UGHHHH.

Anyhow, since I totally blew it, here is a recap video from AP that will give you a bit of an idea of what I missed.

The Barbie Convention is an annual event, but this year’s event was so much more special as it is Barbie’s 50th birthday. Here is more coverage of the event I missed…

    i dont really care for barbie now but i loved it when i was younger and would of loved to go but i live in texas :( at least i was able to goto american girl in dallas saturday.

    YAY!!!!! priscilla, and holly, you’re my new luck charms!!!!! I’M GOING TO ALL STARS!!!!!!!!!!!! I got 3rd in freestyle relay, 5th in backstroke ind. I have NO clue what place in freestyle ind. and 4th in medley relay (I did backstroke) (medley is 4 ppl doing every stroke) but then the ppl who came in 1st cheated, and got disqualified!!!!! thx!!!!!!

    (sorry i haven’t been on, i’ve been on stardoll and reading LOL I have to read little women now!!)
