Aviator Barbie
One of the more rare members of our collection is the Aafes Special Edition Aviator Barbie. We bought her in 2001 and she was only available at the US Army and Air Force Exchange stores.
According to the box, Barbie is a top graduate of military flight school and she comes with a flightsuit, jacket, flight helmet, and gear.
She is a keeper as far as I’m concerned because she reminds me of a cross between my daughter (in looks) and my husband (in profession). My daughter knows that the sentimental value of this Barbie is higher than the monetary value and it is to be treasured.

I used to work for AAFES when I lived in Germany.
I’ve collected Barbies since I was very little. This is one I’ll have to put on my Christmas list for next year. I LIKE her! Almost as much as my Nascar Barbie
Gayla - have you seen the new Jeff Gordon Nascar Barbie? I’ll go grab a picture of her!
