In January 2014 I did a blog post on Anne Shirley for National Reading Day.  My daughters and I are long time lovers of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables books, as well as the adorable movie series.  My daughters were so taken by the Anne doll that I created, that they asked me to craft a Gilbert and Diana.

Gilbert Blythe was created from recycling a hazel eyed American Girl Doll.  The old wig was removed and a new Johnny wig was purchased from Monique.com in a size 10-11 in light brown:  http://store.monique.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=monique&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MT265 .

The knickers suite was purchased from the Kindred Thread, http://www.kindredthread.com/.  The suite included: shirt, vest, tie, hat, and knickers.  The socks and boots were eBay finds.

Diana Barry is made from a Samantha doll.  Her dress and pinafore were made and purchased from Etsy shop Aloha Girls Doll Clothes, https://www.etsy.com/shop/alohagirldollclothes.

The doll dress matches perfectly to the school dress and pinafore Diana wears in the movie.  Her tights were purchased at Michaels from the Springfield Dolls line.  Her boots are an eBay find.
