According to American Girl’s Facebook page earlier today, they will be opening a new American Girl store in San Francisco, California this fall. It will be in the Stanford Shopping Center, an upscale open air shopping mall in Palo Alto.
I have not seen any news articles on this yet, but will update this if I find any. I wonder if they have any more new stores in the works? The Columbus, Ohio store is set to open in early summer 2013.

How about we take the unneeded AG stores and put them somewhere else…

ahh! yeah! i’m so excited! This means there will be a store near me. oh my goodness! Finally! i will not have to drive 8hours to a store. i will not have to pay ridiculous amounts on shipping, and i can go and visit the store! yay yay yay.
@AGfan27- If I need to type, it is really annoying to have to use a Nook. In genral, Nooks are awesome. I HAVE to use a Nook because on my computer, Doll Diaries doesn’t work. Nook uses unite! XD
I agree, Evelyn! Before they made their new store in Miami, I had to travel FOURTEEN HOURS to get to the Atlanta store, and since I didn’t have a store nearby, I would often have to pay crazy shipping costs on items from American Girl. Now I only have to travel 30 minutes to get to the store- and this means I can visit the store often!
But a downfall to that is that you might not be able to visit the other stores, since you already have one nearby. Your parents might think it would be a waste of money to go to the AG Place in NY on a vacation to NY, and so it could take a LOT of convincing to head to any store that isn’t in LA.
I’m crying so hard right now cause I am sooo happy! oh my god, I cant stop :’) I am SOOO HAPPY! I am probably the happiest person on the earth right now!!!!!

I’m SOOOOO excited! We live about an hour away from San rancisco and we used to have to drive all the way to LA to go to an AG store. This is going to be great!
