One of the items from the fall American Girl release that we will be getting are the new Polar Bear Pajamas. One of our readers, Sue and her daughter already picked them up at the store and were kind enough to send in a few photos and their thoughts on the new set.
This is Jenny, MyAG #43 (hazel eyes) modeling the Polar Bear Pajamas.
And here is Caroline showing them off, too!
A note from Sue:
If you just wanted a few words about the PJs, I’d say that we love this set. Because I sew, we’re pretty picky about the clothes we buy from AG. This is one set that I feel is worth every penny. The top is a nice soft heather knit with lace across the front. The leggings are mid-calf and have a bit of stretch in each direction and a really cute polar bear print. We tried them on several dolls and they fit all of them — even the older ones with too much stuffing for newer AG jeans. The soft blue looks good on all of the AG skin tones. The slippers are lined with the same fleece as on the bottom of the slipper and slip onto the feet — no velcro. These also fit both the older AG dolls with the wider feet and the newer ones. The slippers are a bit puffy, so it takes longer to get the dolls to stand. The knit fabric on the slippers has a cute heart pattern that looks like it will coordinate with the new Frosty Fair Isle set for when your doll is lounging. (We didn’t buy the Frosty Fair Isle set because I didn’t think the knit on the top was as well made as last year’s pink fair isle cardigan, but they should go well together. The stitch pattern is different, but the colors are the same.)
So, what do you think? Do they look better on Jenny or Caroline? Do you have this set on your wish list?
