Over the weekend I was lucky enough to visit the American Girl Place Chicago at Water Tower Place and oh was it cool! I have been to the New York store as well, but the Chicago one was so nice! When I got there they were celebrating the historical character, Julie’s birthday.
For Julie’s birthday celebration they had a table set up for crafts – one of them was the “God’s Eye” yarn and popsicle stick craft that girls could sit down and learn to make. They were also doing Julie’s hair and teaching the girls new styles.
I took tons of pictures, bought Chrissa’s swim outfit, her sundress, the Bitty picnic set, and a shirt for my daughter – I will be posting them as I have time this week. Plus, my husband decided that I really look like Chrissa so he took my picture with the display. I may even post that!
Hehehehe………. I spelled Total.
I meant the hat. And the hair is too strawberry blonde. It should be darker.

Thats soooo cool! I dont know if you got this email but american girl sent my mom an email and it said Come and Meet the New American Girl Doll on May 31! and there showed a small little picture of her eyes and hair! Her eyes are hazel-ish (kinda like Mia’s) and I think she has like a honey blonde color hair and she has the BIG black hat on!

I think it’s weird that she doesn’t look anything like her pictures…that’s so odd. Now I’m not so sure if I like her or not. I will just have to wait and see if I like her. I think right now she looks way too much like Mia, but I’ll just have to wait and see. I HATE WAITING!!! AAAGH!!!
AG isn’t known for their great photography. It could be the lighting making her hair look so light. But I agree, she really should look more like the illustrations.

i read a series called all of a kind family and they were jewish and it took place around the new dolls time 1914, and they had thier ears peirced. do you think the new doll will too? and can you get the other ag dolls pierced eras?
