UPDATE -From what I can determine from the American Girl website and their online reservation system for dining, the Washington DC (Tyson’s Corner) American Girl Store should open on June 18, 2011. According to local newspapers, this date is correct.
Squeeee! This just in! American Girl is opening another store in the summer of 2011 just outside the Nation’s Capital in the Tyson’s Corner Center in Mclean, Virginia. You can guarantee we will be making a trip or ten to visit it (since it is just not that far from me!)
According to the press release:
The new American Girl store will offer the complete assortment of the company’s popular historical and contemporary dolls, along with doll outfits, accessories, girl-sized clothing, and a variety of best-selling American Girl books. In addition, American Girl fans will be able to enjoy a meal and a delicious dessert or celebrate a birthday in the store’s fun and casual 110-seat Bistro, treat their dolls to a new hairdo in the Doll Hair Salon, or design a cute doll-sized T-shirt in the “Creativi-Tees” boutique. A variety of girl-and-mom-friendly events and programs will also be offered throughout the year.

Chana, there’s no Historical in LA, Boston, Dallas, or Atlanta, and those stores have been around for longer.

That nightgown would look good on Becky. The new AG store at Tysons Corner, Va is about 3 hours north of where Felicity was from – Williamsburg.

*Sigh* I wish that Williamsburg was closer than that. But guess what, my birthday is on June 20th. My family and I will be going to it in July. Idk when but I do know that it will be in July, I think maybe late July. When we go I will be getting Kanani`s Starter Collection. I get $7.00 a week. I already have $41.00 if I keep saving then I should have about $187.00 (Since I would change to $8.00 at the end of June) I would have $12.00 extra. But my mom said that it would be sort of a b-day present so she would buy me some things. But I will get Kanani`s Starter Collection all by myself. So excited!

I love them. I first found out about them whuile walking on the boardwalk with my mom 3 years ago and spotted a doll store with AG’s in the window. The store sold AG sized clothing. When we walked in I sawe theese pretty dolls. Muy mom asked the sales lady what they were and said they were theese dolls called Karito kids from diffrent countries. I got Pita. She’s the Mexican one. she’s my only one.
