American Girl Opening New Store In Denver
According to the Denver Business Journal, American Girl will be opening its eighth store in the Park Meadows mall in south Denver in the spring of 2010. The store will have a doll salon and the new “Creativi-Tees” make your own doll tee activity center within the store.

Haha, the citizens of Colorodo aren’t so happy. If AG builds in your state, you have to pay taxes on anything you buy.

I really wish there wasn’t a store in my state. It’s awful. For me, it’s about 4 hours away so I can never go. Plus, like Lena pointed out, I have to pay taxes on every single order from AG, be it online or in the store.
hopefully the family i know that lives by there does not move by then so we can go vistit them. and got to the store!
I think they really should make an AG store in Portland,OR or any other cities there since at Oregon you don’t need to pay taxes,although I don’t know about online-shopping…
Trust me, you’re parents are not happy to pay those taxes.

I’d actually say the JLY. 25’s one of my favorites (alas, I sold her to my neigbor), but she really is a beauty who’d actually fit into any of the AG time periods, even Kaya’s.

I went to http://www.americangirl.com and was just going to check on whats backordered for Kirsten (since she is retiring) and was shocked to see that EVERYTHING is ALREADY sold OUT! except for the actual doll and her kittens and Christmas snacks! so If you wanted that I think you had better hurry!:-(

All of those resellers on eBay irritate me. They eat up all of the stock instantly and drive up eBay prices. When I was looking up NIB Kirsten prices on eBay, I was amazed at the hundreds of Kirsten dolls there were.

Awwww….I mean I’m glad there’s a new store but I wish they would open one in San Francisco or somewhere in the Bay Area(Daly City, Hayward, etc.) I live in San Francisco and I’ve waited FOREVER for them to open one up here. They probably won’t since they already have the Los Angeles one:(
I personally dont mind if they build another store, but i kinda dont think they should build one in Indiana or Illinois, (south of Chicago) Sara, because they already have one in Chicago, and even if you dont live close to there, it’d just be a waste of space in the same part of the country, no offense, because i live in Indiana, but its right by Chicago so i don’t mind, i personally do like the idea, but they should make them farther away from the other stores, not trying to be mean.

tomorrows my trip 2 the NY ag place! sooo excited! i decided on the jly, because theres no hurry to collect her whole world (such as a historical or goty doll), and you can create their world! im naming her annalee james and her story is that shes a psychic/medium growing up in michigan. yea, dont ask me why i chose michigan, becuz i have no idea!
Alex, I like Analee’s story. And why not Michigan? That placehas plenty of spots where her psychic powers might come in handy.

Someone found AG will be making two new sets of six books, both historical, for a Denise and a Sarah. Personally, I think they are code names like Lulu as for Chrissa last year.

You don’t have to pay any taxes if you live in a state where there is an AG store.
The states that do have to pay taxes are New York, Illinois, California, Massachussets, Texas, Georgia, Minnesota, and soon Colorodo.
Neither name is trademarked by AG though.

I’m really looking foward to two new historical characters. I’m sure I’ll fall head over heels and buy them instantly. My doll collection (esp. MT and AG) is getting too big, but I did do a very good job of avoiding Chrissa & co. altogether. It’s probably for the best that LoF went out of business.
The problem is that I want to get Emily before she is archived (she and Molly are possibly next) and Kaya because I just bought her complete fancy shawl outfit (probably my favorite AG outfit ever). Decisions, decisions.
