Here is a photo of American Girl GOTY 2013 Saige that her whole meet outfit including her cute boots. These two photos are directly from an anonymous source who gave me permission to post the photos she took. All I know is that I LOVE the freckles! American Girl GOTY 2013 Saige is definitely cute and I think she will be very popular!

UPDATE 10/26 with illustration and movie news.
We got our first peek at what Saige the American Girl GOTY 2013 is going to look like (Thanks Lena). On the corner of an upcoming book, Express Yourself! Use art to explore the emotions in you, there is an illustration of Saige with dark brown long hair, a blue top and skirt, cowboy boots and a light gray horse.
Based on the tiny picture of Saige, I really like her and I love her outfit!!

Back in April we figured out the first clue to the who the American Girl GOTY 2013 will be when we found out that the illustrator of her books will be Sarah Davis – the same illustrator who drew the gorgeous illustrations in the Kanani books. You can verify that by reading the post Sarah did about the process of drawing Kanani and her scenes.

And it looks like there is a movie in the works for 2013. According to a forum discussing the auditions they are looking for:
- Alberta – fair complexion
- Gayle – Latina
- Dina – All ethnicities
- Tasha – blond hair
We all know that these will NOT be the final character names. Supposedly the movie is being filmed in New Mexico as well. I will update when I get more “concrete” information.
Since this year’s GOTY was so heavily sports based, I am not surprised that the GOTY 2013 will be focused more on the arts. According to Jessie Haas’ website – “If you like horses or reading-or both!-you’ll be happy here. You’ll find horse books for all ages, historical and contemporary novels, poetry and history for adults.”

In my opinion, it would be pretty cool if an AG doll had autisim, but I wouldn’t want them to repeat Chrissa with the bullieing(sorry, I don’t know how to spell that).
@Sarah:D, they did Chrissa three years ago…. and, they added some friendship problem’s into McKenna’s story… so why not add SOME bullying into the GOTY’s story, but not make it the actual plot? ^.^
What about adoption? They have never had a girl that is adopted. I am adopted and I think that it would be cool to have an AG doll that is adopted too. But it is fine if they don’t , they are a company so they can’t do everything in one year.

33 has the same color as Emily. Ag’s bad photography makes it look like she has darker hair. No current AG has carrot red hair like the original Felicity.

@M, I’m hoping that she lives in Tennesse, ater all, rom what people had said, in the war of 1812, Tennesse was the state with the most volunteers, and they don’t have a doll who lives in that state.
I looked on Trademarkia, and I found some information. We seem to have three names that haven’t been used, and are trademarked. So, I wrote the dates down and here was what I found. So it seems that AG trademarked Saige on 1/25/12, but I think the author would have started to write the story, as well. So maybe we might have Teagan, she was trademarked in Feburary 19th, 2010. Saba was trademarked in December 21, 2010, though. So- from the looks of it, Saige might not be the name…
@AGSmoothies that happened in the year caroline is from and since all the american girl dolls birthdays are in spring well most of them this might have happened during her birthday time

My GOTY 2013 would be named Saige, since it’s what AG has trademarked, and I think she’ll have a specific shade of green- like- forest green. I hope they do this, since I haven’t seen an AG Doll with forest green eyes. She would also have blonde hair like #24′s, the regular face mold, and she would have light skin. She would be photogenic, as well. But, anyways, she would be smart since McKenna had reading problems, and she would be into painting, since McKenna was into gymnastics. She should have a German or Greek family, since that would be an intresting GOTY (I have a Hispanic family, so I’m not just saying this for myself.).
She should have brown hair Alexa would be a pretty name and be a dancer or acter

Caroline’s 4th book is called “Caroline Takes a Chance” doesn’t really sound to me like raids. Still hoping for Baltimore, since NOLA is clearly out.
Changing the name of the GOTY is pretty easy at this point, so I wouldn’t judge by the dates. However, since Saba is a very regional name and Saige is having issues with another Sage TM by Mattel, I’m gonna say Teagan is most likely. But I could be wrong.

@April, Art And Architecture? Is THAT what’s it’s been categorized in at some bookstores? That’s great news, now we know that there’s a chance she might be intrested in carving- or we may have another pottery girl (Copying from poor Chrissa AGAIN, I hope not!). But, since she’s also categorized with Animals and Family Issues, maybe she’ll create animal-inspired art or something. About Family Issues, maybe her parent’s are divorced, like Julie! I’ll want to see the storyline for more information….
She’s also categorized under horses for the first book. I still wouldn’t get my hopes too high, sometimes those tags have nothing to do with the book.

I think that 2013′s doll should be interseted in the arts. Like painting, or maybe even pottery. Chrissa was a swimmer and an artist (with the pottery and all) So maybe 2013 could be into acting, thats a form of the arts too =)
