Kanani is very pretty with medium brown hair that has a wave to it. Again, these are from a YouTube video that a reader pointed us to. And I wonder if there will be a movie or TV show to go with it because it says something about directed by Camille Guiterezz in one of the last shots. Does anyone have any insight? Nevermind. That is who made the YouTube video.

UPDATE (10/25/10)! A sleuthy reader noticed that on the Australian version of Borders Bookstore the page title of the Girl of the Year 2011 book is Aloha Kanani, which substantiates some of the information I have read of various message boards. It looks like we will be getting a Hawaiian Girl of the Year and I am sure she will be beautiful!
Other than a title, the only info about the 2011 American Girl of the Year (GOTY) doll we have so far is that according to Amazon, Lisa Yee is the author of both books. As you may remember, Lisa Yee wrote Good Luck Ivy.
Amazon does not list a title yet, just the author info, pre-order info and a release date of January 1, 2011.

Hi everyone! Who entered Kanani’s contest? It’s pretty easy! I’ve entered 6 times! Maybe the 3 Kings might bring her also?
For those of you looking for a way to get Kanani, ask yourself, “Is there something I have to do long term that I don’t want to?” If the answer is yes, save up the money, order the doll, and while the doll is arriving, do what you must until Kanani arrives. It’s a bribe for yourself
I haven’t checked this site in FOREVER! Anyway, I have to be honest I’m a little dissapointed with Kanani. She’s a pretty doll, but her stuff just doesn’t seem such high-quality as previous GOTYs, with the possible exception of Chrissa’s collection. Her accessories are really cute, so are her pajamas, I might get those, but I probably won’t get the doll this year, but I can’t wait until the New HIstorical!!!!

I think because,Ag might just happen to release in the spring or maybe sometime this yr. But the girl of the yr. next year could have a friend????? Or the historcal U never know what to expect
