When I first looked at the new items this morning I was pleased to see the addition of a Service Dog set and the Allergy Free lunch, but then I had to go run some errands and while I was away, a few people pointed out some other new additions to the AG collection in the Doll Hospital area of their site.
First they have added a hearing aid option. In order to get a hearing aid, your doll does need to go to the Doll Hospital so she can get fitted for the hearing aid. Once she is fitted for it, the hearing aid is removable and costs $14. Bravo AG!
And joining the American Girl collection are these five cuties! You can now get your American Girl doll without hair which is perfect for little girls who may be battling cancer or other conditions that cause hair loss. From the American Girl website:
“For more than a year, American Girl has been hard at work developing a doll without hair option for girls affected by cancer, alopecia, or any medical condition causing hair loss. Debuting today as part of the My American Girl® line, the new dolls provide even more possibilities for a girl to create a friend that’s as unique as she is. Due to special handling, orders for the new dolls will be taken exclusively through our contact center by calling 1-800-628-5145. These special dolls also will be included in our $100,000+ annual doll donation to the Children’s Hospital Association.”
I love the increasing awareness by companies such as MGA and Mattel (Parent company to American Girl) and their willingness to bring to market products that an even wider range of girls can relate to.

This is sooo great!!!
Well for my autistic GOTY, Saige, in her story; I thought about having her art teacher go in and fight for a better IEP. Mom never thought a teacher would go in and fight for a student.
I almost didn’t too, until my art teacher, who happens to be the inspiration for Saige’s art teacher, almost went in and talked to my history teacher about problems with his not posting grades. See that can work in the story because it happened in life.
Oh wow. all thhis actually came out while i was in chicago and i knew about all of them except the bald dolls. they’re beautiful and my grammy will be pleased with this one!
I just got a new doll and got hearing aids for her. They are so cool.
Serena, dolls can’t have dyslexia because it wouldn’t be something to show, dyslexia is connected to the brain so you can have a doll with it but AG can’t make them special like that
