Those dolls look kinda like some of the dolls that I used to play with when I was a little girl. They are dolls my parents bought for me from Germany.

One of these days I’m going to clean up our entire collection and share the photos with you Char! I know I have been promising this for awhile now.

Eventually there will be a day when I can get to it!

I forgot to mention that the “Oh Baby Baby” link that you have has changed to “Domestic Divapalooza”. If you want, we can do a link exchange that way. Just let me know and I will add your Doll blog over there to my blogroll.

That’s a neat display. I came back into AG at the end of Marisol’s reign as girl of the year but I remember seeing the others in the catalogs. I have Jess and she’s beautiful and I love her book so much! My mom recently found a fall 2005 catalog so I’ll see it again when I get home.

  4. Fiona says:

Do you have any more info on Mia of 2008?

  5. Casey says:

I think it’s a bit strange that there wasn’t a Girl of the Year 2002. When I got my first AG catalogue, I didn’t see Kailey, probably because she retired already. I thought Marisol was the first girl of the year, then a year later I found out she wasn’t. I have Marisol, by the way, and only her jazz outfit and trunk and her ballet outfit.

I love Lindsey, Kailey, and Marisol.

But I think Lindsey’s story was the best. The only thing I wish was that her Wiener dog was made with the doll. I loved the scooter and the laptop though and I still use them with the new today dolls.

I also loved Kailey because at the time I got her I wanted to be a Marine Biologist & I was big on saving the environment. I took her to Northern California with me to see the tide pools and when I went to the Texas Coast the following summer, I went boogie boarding.

Haha, yes I am 13 and I still play with dolls ;]
