Whether you are snowed in, having a sick day or just feeling like a good movie, The American Girl Movie Collection (Samantha – An American Girl Holiday / Felicity – An American Girl Adventure / Molly – An American Girl on the Home Front)
is a great way to spend your time.
My favorite is still Felicity’s movie. We have visited Williamsburg many times and live in an area steeped in history from Felicity’s time. The camera work is beautiful in this movie.
The Molly movies is my second choice. Based on the story of Molly and her family as they struggle to keep positive during the days of WWII, it is a very patriotic choice. Don’t forget your tissues, I cried numerous times throughout the movie as they tugged on my heart strings.
The Samantha movie is also nice. It is a wonderful story of friendship between Samantha and her friend Nellie. It will definitely leave you feeling like you need to have a tea party.
Which movie is your favorite?

Thanks for the link, Char! Can’t wait to watch them with my daughter.
Kerri – You will love them! Let me know which is your favorite.
We’ve seen all 3 via the cable channels thru the Christmas holiday season.
I cannot place a ranking on my own favorite since I love them all- but my daughter LOVES Felicity, then Molly, then Samantha in that order. She’s such a happy go lucky-plucky kid that I call her Miss Victory as her nickname now!
I think I stopped crying about all of 2 seconds the whole Molly movie- and the same for the Samantha one. Molly’s movie really drove home how the 2nd world war impacted families. Samantha’s movie made me cry because I can’t handle any movie with orphans involved- being as I am an adoptive mother of 3.
I have all 3 of those movies. When the Molly movie premeired last November, right in the middle of it I was called to try egg nog. It’s supposed to taste like vanilla pudding, bt it tasted more like… I can’t decribe it. All 3 of those movies are some of my favorites!
