We are running out of space in my daughter’s tiny room for all her doll stuff so I decided to get creative and use these cool wall boxes as doll displays.
L-R – Chrissa and her swim stuff fit perfectly in the first wall box, Coconut, Licorice and Starburst like the middle box, and Kit loves being part of Chrissa’s world while Marisol’s cat and Kit’s dog Gracie hang out below.

That’s very creative! I agree, Lena. Seeing photos of Chrissa makes me want to add her to my Christmas list. When I saw her in person, I just wasn’t head over heels like I was for Mia. This year I’m bent on Addy and sending the My Twinn dolls in for makeovers.
Meh, I’ll get a Chrissa to sell for profit if I don’t like her much.

Chrissa looks wonderful in these pictures! I have seen only a few pictures of her that make her look so nice. I have heard that she is not a very photogenic doll.
Do you guys think I should get the 2009 or 2010 GOTY doll, never remove her from her box, and sell her on ebay when I get an account (three more years)? How much of a profit could I expect to make if I do this? Is it a wise investment? Would I make more of a profit if I buy Chrissa, Gwen, Sonali, or the 2010 doll?
I don’t really have a display. The 4 dolls are just propped up against a bookshelf.

Mia and particularly Jess aren’t bringing in too much profit from sellers when they’re NFRB, but the rest of the dolls seem to be. I guess it would be a good idea. I wish I could go back in time and buy Nellie, Marisol, Nicki, Lindsey, and Kailey to sell now!
I think after running out of Marisols so early that AG made too many Jess dolls. Her meet outfit wasn’t that great. Out of the GOTY dolls that I have (Nicki, Mia, Jess), she’s the one I like the least.
Really? I think Jess is the prettiest GOTY doll and I really liked her meet outfit. Very different. But I never saw it in real life.
If I choose to get one this year, would I be best off with Chrissa, Gwen or Sonali?
Jess is definatly my fave GOTY. She’s just unluky.
Sonali. She’s pretty… and Indian. She;ll sell better than the others later because of her unique mold.

Jess is cute and everything, but she just doesn’t display well since there isn’t a lot of variety in her wardrobe. It always seems like she’s wearing the same outfit. I like her well enough, or I wouldn’t have gotten her in the first place. I like her face mold and the tropical setting. Too bad I never finished her book!
I’m sure the Sonali mold will be back in short order. AG never leaves a face out of comission for long. Take Jess, for example. She has that adorable “chipmunk” face (ahem, Lena
), and less than a year after she was retired, AG released Ivy with the same mold.
I’m not sure who said that the Asian JLY doll is a lot prettier in person, but it’s true. The photos you see online don’t do her justice. I think that face would’ve been a good one for Ivy.
I said 4 looks better. And she does. I’ve said it a million times – AG has bad photography.
Sonali will be back, but for now while she’s the only one with the mold, she’s unique.
I’m tempted to add Chrissa to my Christmas list. The beginning of her book was great. Sonali is adorable, but it ticks me off that she has no other outfits and no book of her own.
Serously, you need to get over that thing of yours. She can wear anyother clothes, and your missing out on a nice doll.

These Craigslist sellers keep bailing on me! We agree upon a price for an AG doll and I say that I’ll put the money in the mail . . . and the next morning they say they sold it to someone locally! It kind of gets aggravating when it happens twice in less than a week.

Bleh. This is why I prefer eBay sometimes. If you buy it, you know they have to send it to you.
But Craigslist is where you find the awesome deals . . . that are yanked out from under you. The seller who bailed on me this morning was going to sell Kirsten, school outfit, school bag, school lunch, birthday outfit, work gown and two-tone boots to me for $90, including shipping. I was planning to resell most of it on eBay for a profit. Last week, I found a Nicki doll with her ranch outfit for $65, including shipping. The next morning, the seller said she sold it locally.
That’s why I said sometimes. You can find good deals on Craiglist, but eBay guarentees you’ll get it if you win.
I know. The only things that I’ve gotten on Craigslist are low-ticket items that I will only be able to get from $5-20 profit apiece on eBay. It’s a fun hobby, though.

I’ve never checked out Craigslist for AG stuff. One of my friends “bought” a couch on Craigslist, but the seller never actually gave it to him. He sent them 200 bucks, and no couch. If I ever do decide to buy from Craigslist, I think I’ll do a face-to-face transaction with local sellers.
Generally, you get ripped-off with high dollar transactions. The deals that have actually gone through for me are all under $25 apiece. Face-to-face transactions have dangers in themselves. You never know what kind of person is waiting for you at the meeting spot. And it’s next to impossible to find good deals locally. Besides, in my city, you have to drive a very long ways just to get to the other side of town. Maybe I shouldn’t be so trusting of Craigslist sellers, but everything has gone well so far.

Ivy’s boots actually look really good with Kit’s skirt. I’ve done this many times, and I always love it 
I didn’t notice how cute Kit looked in Chrissa’s dress. I love it! I think it would look great on my Ivy and Caoimhe (Samantha), now that I take a better look at it..
SO, I have all my dolls dressed for back-to-school, and I’ll try to post some pics later on. Hey, I finally found something that would look cute with Ivy’s meet shirt: a denim miniskirt!
So, I’m going to see Zoe in about a week!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m soooo excited, because we might be going to AG Place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll be sure to take tons of pictures.
