I can’t believe they’re retiring 21 either. I remember when she came out, I wanted to get her. I liked those “honey-blond curls and hazel eyes”.

I have an odd question, or rather, Sophie does. (She’s the little girl I baby-sit.) Sophie wants to know when the GOTY birthdays are. Does anyone know?
AG never specifies GOTY bdays, only the historicals. So I guess you can make it up.

Hmm … I don’t remember any GOTY birthdays.
I don’t like Violet’s new dress. Black and white is kind of boring, especially on an otherwise plain brown hair, brown eyed doll. Elsie’s is cute, but I like the old one’s details. Millie’s dress does wash her out, but it kind of gives her a porcelain doll look.
I can’t believe they’re retiring Julie’s hoops outfit! That’s her school story outfit. Why? I know you don’t know the answer, but still! Why?
Maybe they want to give her the actual one she wore in the story?
And Violet’s dress was prettier as a school dress, but definatly doesn’t do as a meet dress.
My theory is that they will make a better one that matches the one in the story more, or she will get a different outfit completely.
Well, I’m not going to rush out and buy it. Hopefully the new one will be better.
For the record, in the book she has a red tshirt with white at the colar and sleeves, and red shorts with white stripes at the sides and along the bottom. Her socks are short and her soes are white.
I like that better, but it would make her collection have a lot of red.
Oh, I love JLY 21. That was one of the ones I would get if I was going to go buy JLY’s. And wow, that’s a lot of retirements on the JLY line. I am saddened to see the retirement of more historical items, being that there are almost no items leff to begin with. But many of the historical outfits are already retired.
Yeah, but GOTY collections were perdominatly one color too (Pre Jess, Nicki was mostly pastel)
I like JLY 21 also, but she isn’t one of the JLY’s on my list to get.
This is true. I’d like to see AG branch out and use some different colors, as long as they match those from the books. I’d rather them be continuous with the books. Kind of like how I don’t like that AG changed Elizabeth’s hair color. In my Felicity books, she has darker hair.
In mine too. And I like it that way. The official excuse was that she’s “look too much like Felicity”. Lies, they just wanted a princess Barbie in AG.
I agree. Lissie has red hair. It would’ve been just fine for Elizabeth to have brown hair. Elizabeth is a beautiful doll, but she is very princess Barbie-ish.
My neighbor has a Julie rewigged to be Lizzie, and she looks absolutly nothing like her Felicity. She’s even wearing the “real” Elizabeth’s clothes all the time (expect the cloak – she has a blue coak the way its meant to be)
Elizabeth is supposed to have brown-blonde,or dark-blonde. I agree that Elizabeth is barbie-ish. After all,all the stuff she has includes pink;except if you include summer outfit,and christmas outfit cloak;that’s just about it! Not that much.
Only outfit I like in Ellie’s collection is riding outfit,nightgown,and cloak.
Elizabeth dosen’t look like Felicity-Felicity(although her hair does look like auburn
red and shiny blonde at the same time,if you look at the catalogue,that is,hehe.)

If AG hadn’t been dumb and changed Felicity’s beautiful red hair to auburn, then they could’ve made Elizabeth a brunette without a hitch.
Yeah, whenever I look at my Felicity I wonder why they made her eyes electric/neon green. They’re kind of glaring. Real green eyes are obviously a softer color.

Elsie’s hair has always been auburn; the lighting sometimes makes it look different. In her new meet dress, her eyes look like a yellow-brown. Weird! I guess that hazel color didn’t work out so well. Green rules.

Maybe you can find #21 on eBay, or you could ask your parents to buy her now since she won’t be available for Christmas. Make sure you let them know that your heart has been set on her for awhile, not that you suddenly decided you needed a doll because she’s going to be gone. It might work, it might not.

My Elsie’s hair is dark auburn, close to brown but not brown. Her eyes are indeed a prettier hazel that Helena’s, IMO.

Here, I’ll post something random (lol!), did u kno that on set, Michael Landon would play practical jokes? On Bonanza 4 example, he had weights secretly put in his costume and Lorne Greene (Pa Cartwright) was supposed 2 carry him and he was so heavy because Mike had all the weights inside!! And, on the LHOTP set, Michael would be talking and all of a sudden u would see a frog in his mouth!!!! You heard me right, ML would put live frogs in his mouth!!

Wow, so almost all of the historically accurate Felicity outfits are going? That’s pretty sad…I guess we’ll be seeing more scandalously (by 1770s standards) short gowns, sewn-on petticoats, and Marie Antoinette ballgowns. I’m so not going to buy from them again…Not that I’m bitter or anything! ;D
A good place to find historically accurate clothes that were made in the USA is Dollies Dressmaker (clickee namee). I’ve bought 2 things from there, and both were awesome.
Yes, Dollies Dressmaker is awesome. My neighbor has some of ther clothes, and they are very high quality and well made.

sara-that video was really funny! have you seen the lhotp outtakes on youtube? omg ml was soo funny!!!! it was so sad when he became terminally ill. did you know that he was a super fast runner because he had wet the bed when he was a kid and his mom would always dry the sheets in front of the house so everyone could see, and he would run home as fast as he could to take the sheets down and hide them?

: ( I was gonna get #21 around Christmas along with #25 and get Gwen and Sonali this month but now i guess i’ll have to postpone getting Gwen until December when she might be sold out so i can get #21 now but on the good side she probably wont be really expensive on eBay even if she’s is sold out cuz ill still get her in December when she’s not OFFICIALY retired.

Selena~ Michael Landon was an actor. He played Little Joe Cartwright on Bonanza, Charles “Pa” Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie, and Jonathan Smith on Highway to Heaven. He died of pancreatic cancer July 1st 1991. At that time he was filming 4 a show called Us. His real name was Eugene Orowitz. pioneerfan and I have just been talking about how he was funny, that he was taken too soon, etc.
He played Pa on the Little House on the Prairie TV show back in the 1970’s.

Ya, my birthday is after everything has been retired!! Well, after I pay my friend 4 the guitar I need 4 school (I’ll explain later (he wants 100 bucks 4 it and my dad will give me 50 so I just need 2 give him 50 more (which I have about 160 dollars.))) I will get Mikayla (21) and the Licorice Play Outfit and ask 4 Sonali 4 my birthday. Then, my next focus will be clothes and accessories.

Allie, a lot of those items are already retired. And once the others are gone, they won’t be available in the physical stores or the online stores. As of right now, there is still quite a few things online, but it won’t last.

Alexis, I wouldn’t recommend the IM ME. You have to call your friends on the phone everytime you want to start a conversation and I hear that it’s a real pain to deal with. Just check out the reviews on the AG website. If I were you, I would invest that money in unlimited texting
