   Yeah I agree with Lindsay, you definately should put a picture of the doll on here, cuz i dont really care about knowing what her name is if i cant see a picture of her!

   We have not been able to get a picture of Mia yet – trust me, as soon as we get anything – a sketch, photo, book cover – you name it, we will post it.

   If anyone has any pictures of the new Mia doll, please let us know.

   I looked up the author of the books and all of his characters are Asia. My guess is that she is of Asian discent.

   Mia’s last name is ST. Clair. If she is asian, she probably was adopted. She has 3 older brothers.

   I know the girl personally who Mia is based on. She IS part chinese. She is also 1/2 Irish. She is a beautiful girl, if the doll really looks like her, you won’t be disapointed.

   She is from New York. She has red layered hair. Green eyes and frekles on her face. She is ten years old.

   On the coer of ” Bravo, Mia!” It sort of looks like she’s doing ballet. I could be fooled!

    I have seen a picture of Mia and she is not asian and is not adopted. These are just rumors being spread.I dont even think that she has layered hair.It also doesnt matter what the writer writes about, its about how American Girl makes her!!!!!!

    I have a couple of thing s to ask.Jen, do you really know the girl she’s based on?Also, although this doesn’t relate to Mia does anyone know were i could buy a Nicki , in good condition,doll cheap. Like less than 100 dollars and it doesn’t even have to have the book with her.Thnx

    Dear Caroline,
    You should not buy Nicki on ebay. It is a really bad idea. Even if a picture looks good on ebay doesn’t mean you should buy it. Look around on other sites and i’m sure you can find something.

    Ebay can be a great place to purchase retired items. Just be sure to check the sellers feedback and read all the fine print. Do your research and be patient and I’m sure you will find a good deal.
