A Girl for All Time’s new doll, Amelia Elliot is an ordinary schoolgirl from Victorian London. She is a decedent of Matilda Marchmont (the original doll in the series) and in her story “Amelia’s Inheritance” she will inherit the family trunk that has been passed down since Matilda’s time. Amelia is officially out (and yes, you can order her from the US distributor, too) and she is making herself at home in our doll town. I will be announcing the giveaway for Amelia on Tuesday, but in the meantime I thought you might enjoy a quick photo story.
Amelia is in her Stage Costume and is dreaming about her Music Hall performance. Amelia’s Stage Costume is just divine. It is literally LAYERS of gauzy fabric, ribbon, roses and exquisite little details.
In Amelia’s dream her Great, Great, Great Grandmother Matilda looks on as she goes over her performance one more time.
“Amelia, that was beautiful,” Matilda said, “I can’t believe you are now 13 and will be inheriting my beloved trunk soon.”
“Here is the key. It will open the trunk. You MUST not ever lose it as it is an important part of our family’s history and its future,” Matilda said with a loving but serious voice.
“Oh Great Great Great Grandmother, this is the most special gift I will ever receive! I will take very good care of it and will pass it down to my own daughter one day,” replied Amelia.
The next morning Amelia woke up and got ready for school, but she could not get them images of Matilda out of her mind. Just a few more days until her birthday and she would get the key for real.
Time for us to head out on an adventure! I hope you have a wonderful day. Check back in this evening… I may have a surprise for you.
