Amazing American Girl Doll House

I was just doing my morning scroll through Facebook and noticed that Jen at American Girl Doll Play shared a video of a crazy huge American Girl doll space. It is not really a doll house, rather a doll room with individual rooms for the various dolls, furniture and accessories a Mom and her two girls have. Watch:

Seriously, if I had the space, I would love to do something like that in our house. Actually, we do have a space that would be perfect but it is attached to my son’s room and I don’t think he wants to share his space with dolls, so I will have to wait a few years to possibly claim that space ;-)

One of the biggest challenges with any collection is how to display it in a way you can still enjoy it and take care of it. I love seeing all the creative ways that collectors display and store their collections.

Honestly, I think its too much space, and too many dolls. I prefer my collection of 7 dolls and my closet as their space.

As my daughter’s 18 inch doll collection grows, I’ve been considering building her a dollhouse. This is truly beautiful! However, not to take anything away from it…but it’s the first time I’ve seen something and thought, “Too much!” Maybe it’s the fact that it’s a “walk-in” dollhouse? What happens to all this stuff when the child gets into her teens? She might still want to display dolls but not really play with them. I still think it’s lovely, but definitely not something I’d want in my home.

Awesome! I had found the beginning of their journey and another video not long ago and had long been awaiting an updated video and here I came across it! She was lucky to have a mom that already collected.
